These jeans are super cute, but sizing is quite different than most jeans. I’m 5’6”, 140 lbs and Amazon recommended a size 31 regular for me. They were HUGE so I had to return. The regular sizes are 33” long, and even at 5’6”, they tucked all the way under my feet. They were also big in my waist and hips, which surprised me. This is the first time I’ve had to order a short size in a jean, but I did re-order a 30S because they are worth it. High quality and super flattering! I gave these jeans a five star because they are great. They do run very long though. I got the short length because I’m exactly 5’ and it is hard to find jeans short enough. Even the short length are a good 3-4” too long.

I have other Ariat jeans, and I found this pair to fit true to size, just like the others. I am returning these, though, because the straight leg is truly straight (good for Ariat), and they actually kind of got hung up on my boots. The fit at the leg openings was narrow enough that I worried about the dye transferring to my boots, and if I have to choose, I love my boots more than these jeans. :-) For me, the feathering/"worn" parts were a little too obvious, too (why do companies even DO this? It's not as if jeans get worn out in stripes across the front of your hips, right?). I usually wear a 10 in jeans and I have a 31" inseam (I think); I found the 32 Regular fit well but I wouldn't want them any shorter than these. Other than these personal preferences, the jeans seem well made and they're cute! Just depends what you like. ... show more
