Well, I always try to be exact with these reviews, but everyone is different you know? At any rate, I loved these boots on sight. I'm no cowboy, but if I'm not in shorts and a t-shirt, then it's jeans, t-shirt, cool jacket, and some boots. I've got some low cut dress sorta boots, but these just looked good. I read all the reviews concerning width and size, and decided to give it a shot. I've got normal feet; average width and normally wear an 11 in everything; sneakers, sandals, etc. That said, the consensus was to order a half size smaller. So I did. Amazon warehouse had a like new pair; size 10.5, normal width. Got them today and they fit perfectly. The length thing was spot on. Order a half size smaller. The width wasn't an issue. They're perfect. No problems putting them on or pulling them off. That said, some break in will be required, but still comfortable. I had read that the inserts weren't removable. Not true. I'm an old army guy that's had plantar fasciitis, so I buy a pair of Powerstep inserts for everything but sandals. It took me ten seconds to remove the included inserts and put the Powerstep inserts in. Boom; arch support and super comfortable. No issues. The color was exactly what the picture showed. So, while I can't speak for everyone, this was a positive buy for me. They look and feel amazing. Cheers ... show more

I absolutely loved these boots when i got them, i have had them for just about 3 months and they are starting to peel. I do not wear them every day and I work in an office so they do not experience a large amount of wear and tear, i was very shocked to see this happen so fast. Awesome boots. I went with the 10.5 W and they fit GREAT!!!! I have a very wide foot and I also went a half size bigger then I normally wear for the square toe part. Do your research, take your time and know your feet. These Are great boots. Make sure you protect them with mink oil before you even think about wearing them. Do not use saddle soap to protect them. These boots look great, are way more comfortable then my previous lace-ups, and people never know they are not full-length unless I show them. My wife laughed at my "booties" when I pulled them out of the box, but these Ariats have proven to be my favorite boots in a long time. I'm in commercial construction on the "office side." These are the perfect boot for me to stay comfortable at my desk and avoiding odd looks from foremen when I venture into the field. They look good in town, and in mud. I wear them all the time. Been wearing them for a week and half now and they're starting to break in really well. I ordered 13 2E and they are just a little tight on my outer toes. Definitely order wide. I wear a size 12D in this boot just like in other shoes. Got them yesterday and they fit great. First I ordered the Ariat Men's Groundbreaker boot. The 12 Wide was too big so I returned them. Ariat refunded it promptly. Then I ordered the Ariat Midtown Rambler 11.5D and it was too tight. Ariat exchanged them for a 12D, and that was the sweet spot. Barn Brown looks great. They are a little stiff and tight at the top of the foot at the vamp. I think they'll break in nicely. I applied mink oil immediately and I'm starting to put some miles on them. I'm convinced testosterone levels rise as soon as you look down and see them on your feet. LOL! Cool boots. ... show more
