Bought this to make it easier to get in and out of hoodies but didn't want full zip. With two "aftermarket" shoulders getting in and out of pullovers has gotten tough. The zip opening makes it much easier to get in and out of as well as more flexible as I work in it that I can unzip to cool down without shedding it. This hoodie will get a-lot of use. ... show more

I tried other branded hoodies and they either shrunk or the material started to fall apart or just too thin and could feel the wind coming through the material so I opted for more expensive brands and so glad I found this one. I have other Ariat jackets and they are awesome. Tried Carhartt loose fit only because I like the style of the zipper feature and that it’s a rain resistant fabric, but those are massive and I would have to wear 20 layers to fill in the looseness but ariat was a more slimmer fit and yet has room to move. Absolutely love this hoodie plus has the zipper and again love that ability to unzip a bit. Fabric is soft and yet holds up well. I plan to get many winters use from this. This is a good looking hoodie and plenty warm. The hood "tassles / strings" are black, and not gold color like they show in the picture. This will also shrink a good amount in the dryer...
