They took a few days to break in and the evening I would put rolled up socks in them to stretch the ankle area out. After the break in I can wear them all day. I’ve been wearing ARIAT for many years now and these like all the others I’ve owned are nice looking, well built and comfortable boots.

These are my first pair of cowboy boots. I love the smell of leather as well as the stitching. I thought the leather soles was a nice touch. I like the fit and the comfort. The color did not come as shown. More of a light tan with a dark brown toe. I had to die the lighter section to come close to matching the toe. If you order these in a man’s size (13 or higher) the leather is going to be darker than the leather shown in the advertisement. Not a big deal, unless you’re looking for a light brown leather. Wee men, women and kids boots appear to come in the lighter leather. Not a big deal in my opinion. The leather sole is a nice a touch. The comfort of these boots is typical for Ariat. These are my third pair of Ariats, and every pair is just as comfortable. Order them wide, unless you are a wee man. I suppose a wee man could order a woman’s pair and be just as comfortable. If you’re upset about being a wee man, you probably shouldn’t buy these boots. As these boots were made for men. ... show more

Pretty disappointed. The color is not like the picture at all, or at least the bottom part of the foot isn't. I'm OK with the color, but it's not what I was expecting. Already a bit mad because the other boot I wanted from ariat is currently out of stock, so these are what I went with. It's taking forever to break in- the sides rub into my ankles and until I get that broken in, it presses in pretty uncomfortably. I have very wide and small feet so I'm probably an exception but it's something to look out for. Also, boot socks are a must, just know that up front. Overall pretty disappointed with Ariat but the return policy has been a lifesaver for finding the right size among different boots. I'm disappointed not because they're bad necessarily, but just because they could have done better. ... show more
