I LOVE ARIAT BOOTS! I have a pair of black round toe heritage Ariats, that I've been wearing for about ten years. I don't wear them every day, but they are worn enough to gauge the comfort, durability, and quality. They are excellent on all points. Arait boots wear like a tank- strong and durable rubber soles and heels. Recently I did put a better set of gel insoles- Dr. Scholls, believe it or not- to replace the worn factory ones- and now they'll be just as comfortable as when new. I just received this pair, and got them at a great price reduction, so, I bought two pairs. I am wearing the one that just arrived right now. I am a 13EE, and these are the only brand of cowboy boot that I can even get on, because of my high instep. They do need to break in, and fit just a tad loose in places, and that's o.k. with me, because it's up in the toe box area, and that's good. The heel area fits very good, and walking in them is comfortable. DON'T go lower in size. I suspect over time, that these will conform to my foot better and I'll like them even more. In the winter, a slightly thicker sock seems like it will work fine. These were shown in the sizing chart as 13 W- wide. I'm happy to report that these are indeed, 13EE on the boot's inside label, my size. Yeah, made in China.. boo- but so's my cel phone, laptop, and about 80% of our household electronics. Bottom line, if you're a big man like me, these Ariats are a good, all round utility boot. My wife commented on how much she likes them when I unboxed them a little while ago.
