For all of my 60+ years my feet have burned and sweat when I wear anything but leather insoles and natural fiber socks like cotton or wool (and that is whether or not my feet are hot or cold). This is the case even in sandals! I have to put a leather insole in my Teva’s and hold it down with Velcro. It’s a bummer! And I could not find anything that would work in a split toe sandal. So I was a little leery of getting these flip flops because I was worried about that. I am on my feet about 50% of the time at work, and these sufficiently support my high arches, although I do have higher arch supports for my other shoes. The big deal is that my feet don’t sweat or burn with these! And I can be in them all day! I also decided to buy the sliders although the beige color is not the same. I couldn’t find the sliders on Amazon, but did find them in my ENT’s doctor’s office, of all places. I highly recommend these for people who need some support as well as for burning, sweaty feet. ... show more

I would give 4.5 stars if I could. I followed advice and went up a size, which worked out great. I have very flat feet and plantar fasciitis. Archies have a good arch support and I can see that they are starting to mold to my feet. The fit is very comfortable. I have two minor complaints. First, I wish the straps looked a little less like those on cheap flip flops. I'm thinking about ways to dress up the straps. Second, I have "princess-and-the-pea" feet and the texture of the Archies against the bottom of my feet is a little uncomfortable. I suppose that the texture is to keep your feet from slipping around, and that's a good thing. I hope to get used to the texture. I just wanted to give a heads up to others who are extra sensitive. ... show more

I had a pair for 5 years, and they finally broke. My last pair was a Womens 9, I am really a 9.5. For my new pair I purchased a women's size 10 because I was desperate for a new pair. They say to size up for 1/2 sizes..NOPE I got a 10 womens in desperation and they are huge!!! FYI... I am not complaining as my arches are happy but I have to purchase a womens size 9 so I am not flopping around in a size 10 that fit like Old Navy flip flops. ... show more

I have high arches and most flip flops are not supportive enough and make my feet hurt. I tried the waterproof Birkenstocks, which I like but they make your feet sweat a lot. These flip flops do not do that. They are so comfortable and fit true-to-size. They do require a little breaking in for the straps (at least for me), but after a couple of days of wearing these all day, the straps are great and my feet don’t hurt. Some reviews complain of staining, but I didn’t find that to be an issue for me at all. Will be purchasing in other colors! ... show more

These seem like they might work great for people with more narrow feet. I don't have wide feet... I don't buy wide tennis shoes or other wide shoes. But these were just too narrow for me. These are my mother’s favorite flip flops and coincidently my dog’s favorite chew toy. She loves the arch support and the puppy likes the soft crunch.
