This review is more from the "beginning Welder" perspective, but this welder seems really good compared to my old stick welding kit. My old welder disappeared when I left it sitting out for a few minutes in a lovely neighborhood, so I had to give this a try since its a lot more versatile and actually costs less than my stick kit did. This one is a MIG gasless welder (that also doubles as a stick welder). I liked it right out of the box, its nice and light, carry strap goes on easy, and there are two attachments to weld with, the stick holder and the flux core welder. The side of the case opens up for the wire spool, and getting it attached only took a few minutes. For using the flux core wire, the setup on the front is idiot proof and the configuration makes you put the attachments where they are supposed to go (wire welder negative, clamp is positive). Turn on the switch in back and you can start feeding your wire through. It only has two dials in the front for amp and voltage, but they automatically match up when MIG welding so when you get one right you get the other too. No speed control knob for the wire, so will just have to adjust your weld speed to the wire feed. Perfect for little projects around the house, and I can already think of several spots requiring attention. It even comes with a wire brush to scratch off the flux. Very nice welder, and should last a good long time.

In my opinion, AC makes really nice quality and affordable units. This welder is perfect for novice to intermediate skill level. There is a synergic mode that basically has preset parameters that get you really close to proper settings with the push of a button. If you want, you can also fine tune it a little more in synergic mode. Or if you are more experienced, you can run the welder in a manual mode, and control all your settings independently and directly. There is also a spot welding feature that is adjustable and works great. The box itself is well-built and light. It also has a nice look to it! The MIG 200 Fit is a very versatile machine, able to do stick, mig, spool gun, gas/flux core, and limited tig welding. It is also able to run on 110v/220v and it comes with a power plug adapter. The instruction manual is in plain English and is really well-written. There is good copper used for all the conductors. The mig and stick torches handles are made of harder plastic, but I have not had any problems with them. There is only one wire feed roller included (2 sided, .9mm and .8mm). So you might have to purchase some extras. Also a gas regulator must be purchased seperately if you aren't using rosin core wire. Overall, I am really pleased with this welder; if you get one, you will not regret it!

A Nice MultiPurpose Machine! A simple and easy to understand control panel with all the features right there on the panel and not hidden behind multiple menus. Setting up and dialing in your setting is very intuitive on this machine. The machine is set up for multi process, which is great if you're learning to weld. You can use the process you know and learn the rst as you go. The mig functions works very well, easily welding some 1/4" mild steel plates and learning a nice bead that the flux peeled right off. The Syngeric feature works very well the keep you dialed in while welding. The cold tig is excellent, I used it for welding in a rust repair or patch panel on a classic car, and was very impressed. It left behind a small but solid weld with deep penetration completely fusing the 2 manels without the need for filler rod, making for much easier cleanup and paint prep, and no dissimilar metals left in the wled to create issues down the road.

I'll say first that this item took 3 months to get to me - when it got to me it had a note about how it was misplaced in the warehouse with a frowny face, so there's that at least. It was packaged well and includes all accessories you'd need to get started. It's super light, like other Arccaptain stuff, but they've been around for a little bit now so for really light jobs this might come in handy. A lot of folks don't trust a 110V welder understandably, but know that while you won't be working on major jobs with this (or just for a hobbyist) it's worth giving a shot.

It appears to be a welding device. Free wire was a nice touch. I don't have a lot of experience (none) with these but it looks good and seems to function normally. Now I need a new mask. Obvious re-tape job indicates someone else was not satisfied.

I was pleasantly surprised at the features and performance of this welder. It has a smallish footprint, but possesses so many options for variability in types of welding. It's no slouch at 200 amps, either. In my opinion, it's the perfect welder for the home hobbyist. Performance is excellent, as expected. Construction is equally as good. Right out of the box, I can tell that this unit will be with me for a long time. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.
