Other reviewers mention putting sand or gravel in the middle section, and that might be a good idea. It arrived with a big round sticker affixed to the bowl. It was very hard to peel off. This bird bath is fantastic. Super easy to put together and the inside of the stand has enough space to fill with rocks and sand to make it sturdy. I added a bubbler and some rocks to make shallow parts plus to add some extra weight. We had high winds yesterday and the bird bath is still standing! The birds also love it. They quickly jumped in and look to be having a blast playing in it! Highly recommend! ... show more

    • STURDY, REALISTIC-LOOKING "CONCRETE" BIRD BATH

I had purchased two of another birdbath from Amazon that had a skinnier pedestal, slightly taller with holes at the edge of the perimeter. These were made of thinner plastic and didn't hold up over time. Fortunately I found this model of birdbath on Amazon and ordered this fall. This grey model looks like concrete, had a more stable pedestal and is definitely worth the extra cost over the other models I tried. Squirrels can jump on it to drink from it as well as the birds! I also bought a heater to use in the winter to keep the water from freezing which works great. Should have spent the extra money up front to buy this unit! ... show more

The overall look of this light weight birdbath is very nice. From a slight distance it looks like stone. However, the three pieces didn't fit together well. Specifically the two base pieces. I could not make them fit properly. They are together currently in a slightly lopsided way. It works, but its not perfect. This watering unit works great . Other bird baths we have had were easy for the bowl to tip off when larger birds or four legged animals got on them . We have coyotes and other animals drinking from this unit with no problem . With the previous units we had possums using them occasionally and tipping the top over . This one stays in place because the base is weighted and the bowel screws on . The bowel could be a little deeper so I would not have to fill it daily here in the AZ .desert . ... show more

    • Perfect replacement for our old concrete bird bath

This bird bath is attractive, lightweight, yet sturdy. It holds a decent amount of water. During the winter we use one of those heating units to keep the water from freezing. The birds, squirrels, and deer love it.

I’m very pleased with this Bird Bath. It’s pretty, was super simple to assemble, lightweight, and will be easy to put away for freezing temperatures. I did fill the middle section with sand for stability.

Looks great in my new fenced garden, but even with sand-filled base, not very heavy or stabile. Slick “marble” bowl interior surface prevents some algae growth, faux stone exterior. I tip the bowl daily to empty and clean it. If you have a big bird population, not recommended. Without a fresh water supply throughout the day, it would become far too dirty. ... show more
