My first steel target ever, paired it with a different brand stand and had no comparability issues. Eats handgun ammo no problem, no dents or even texture after 9mm or 45 ACP. Shot it with a 5.56 from about 80 yards or so and there was the slightest rough texture after. I have no doubt these targets would hold up for a long time and the price is better than others! Size isn’t really an issue just make sure you pay attention to measurements and keep that in mind. Cant beat the satisfaction of the sound it makes when hit. Probably the weirdest review for this target but I wanted to leave my two cents. When I was in a time crunch needing 1/2" AR500 steel for a battlebot weapon disk. I turned towards my other hobby of shooting and grabbed a 1/2" 8" gong to use as material. It cut like butter using 30,000psi of water and garnet. It lasted multiple fights impacting other AR500/600 blades spinning at 200mph each. All in all, these targets are made out of a great quality material and I'll be ordering a few more to use as their intended purpose and not weird nerdy battlebot parts. Note: The energy exchanged to cause the chipping would be equal to almost 50BMG and hardened high carbon steel. Your jacketed or even steel core .308 is not going to hurt these targets. ... show more

It turned out smaller than I thought. About the size of a Kevlar, but that is the size I can shoot at 50 yards ~ 100 Yards. The weight is a little on the heavy side, but it can function very will against .223 and 5.56 ammo. Although I am worried that shooting within less than 50 Yards might damage it but that wont happen as shooting close is quite dangerous. Super heavy duty. Takes rounds like nothing. Shot it with a 16” AR-15, 18” 308 AR-10, various handgun calibers, no issues. I did start to see some cratering with I believe was a 20” 5.56 AR-15 but it’s not bad. Size is great to shoot at and easy to set up on a stand though it’s pretty heavy.
