I'm going to admit, I'm not a fan of the plastic material used to build the majority of this light. It brings down the value in my eyes, but that's subjective. In reality, this light is a really good option if you're looking for a light that can do and be many things. You can have this at the back of your videos if you do YouTube, or you can light your subject, or you can even do one of those creative shots. I once saw a guy make a portal using one of these tube lights as a special effect. The "liquid crystal display" on this is not as fancy as it sounds, but it does work well. I have a couple of cheap tube lights that I started out with, and those are such junk compared to this it's laughable really. This light is sooo handy and is so versatile that I think every photographer or videographer should have at least one of these in their kit. It may seem a little expensive to some, but it really is an investment! The aputure app is sooo much more advanced than any other lighting app I have used that I am tempted to upgrade all my studio lights to Aputure branded lights to have everything all on the same app. How My Star Rating System Works & What They Mean: 1 STAR - Pretty much junk and I would return and ask for a refund if I could. 2 STAR - It works, but barely meets the minimum requirements it should in order to keep it and not return it, but I would not order again. 3 STAR - It does what it was designed to do, but there's nothing really special about it. It's acceptable but not great. 4 STAR - I am very comfortable recommending it to a friend because it is is well made, durable, and delivers on its advertised features, and I would buy it again. 5 STAR - I really love it. The item exceeds my expectations of quality, durability and functionality. Not only would I purchase it again, but I would also actively encourage friends and family to to do the same. All of my reviews are my own personal opinion and are completely honest no matter if I receive an item for free or I pay for it. I was given 2 of these as gifts from a fellow photographer and after being used for 2 weeks one of them only lights up half way and the other one has multiple dead pixel.. very disappointing.. ended up having to buy from a different brand (neewer) because I needed a working set these have so much potential.. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Love this light, it is so versatile! Can use it for mood lighting for interviews, little fill or eye light, colorful lighting in the background, walk and talks, interviews, B roll, the uses are limited only by your imagination ☺️ another great light from amaran, that covers the full spectrum of functionality that you would come to expect from a light like this. Great build quality, mostly made out of plastic, but feels solid and well put together. You can control everything from the back of the light, but it’s pretty slow with the buttons, so I highly recommend connecting it to your sidus link app. Has ⅜ inch holes on either end as well as some cool clips to allow additional mounting options. If you are in the aputure ecosystem already, this light is a no-brainer! ... show more
