I was shopping around for a countertop arcade cabinet and was put off by the price of a lot of the options. Then I found this dock. It’s a little smaller than an average countertop machine but it looked good and used the standard switch fight stick layout for the buttons. At $60 I thought it was gonna be an experience with a lot of compromises. What I got instead was a fight stick dock hybrid for my switch 2 that works like a dream and is cheaper than any first party controller. Playing games you wouldn’t think to use an arcade stick for like rhythm heaven groove were greatly improved by docking it to the mini arcade. SNK Arcade archives games on switch and capcom arcade collections are a joy to play. Very light weight and easy to transport and even has an option for pass through charging. It turned out to be everything I wanted in a countertop arcade but in a smaller package than the real deal.

The plus and minus buttons (-/+) do not work if you have Joyce connected to the system at the same time, so make sure that the joy cons are turned off or only the (-/+) buttons will work on the joy cons to select or start games in Namco Museum archives volume1 one and volume 2. The turbo button is an absolute must have for old retro arcade games, it feels like cheating, which it is 😆 someone else had mentioned, wishing there was a cover for the back of the top part of the enclosure to keep dust out; I would recommend buying a plastic bag to put over the unit when not in use adding a cover to the back of the unit will restrict airflow and the system will overheat if it was completely enclosed while playing. I do have some concerns with overheating with this enclosure. I may consider adding a fan if it becomes a problem. The build quality is outstanding! The fit is also outstanding with both systems. The buttons are OK, they could be a little bit better and I wish it had a 8-way/4-way switch as playing Pac-Man is very difficult with this joystick because it’s an 8-way and not a 4-way (Pac-Man will all of a sudden go up when you want him to go left or right because you don’t have the 8-way joystick positioned exactly 90° to the left or right and if it’s just slightly up, it will confuse the game and it will probably go up instead.) for side to side games like Galaga, it plays flawlessly! There is a slight dead zone in the middle of the controller that may cut down on the reaction times slightly (only expert gamers would notice this and the button response problem). There are two versions to choose from on Amazon, one has the voice and one does not the difference is the “voice” has an internal speaker that makes sounds when you press the buttons etc (that can be turned on and off), but some have said that this is not good sound quality and not worth it, the non-voice version which I bought has a more colorful artwork on the panels and also has the screen capture button instead a “voice” control, which I think is more useful. I was concerned about how the switch would sound through this enclosure and the sound is absolutely amazing. They put little holes for the speakers so the sound comes through loud and clear! You can also connect power to the bottom of the unit that will charge the system while you’re playing. It also comes with a USB cable to connect the switch dock port to your switch in the normal switch dock so you can use the controls while playing on a full-size TV, which is really cool. If you have both the Nintendo switch and switch 2, you can leave them in the cases and slide them in and out of the enclosure, so it’s easy to “switch” 😄 Would I buy this again? Absolutely! It’s so cool! You need this!

Easy to assemble and has two holders one for regular switch and one for switch 2. Both work as they should. I use it to play arcade type games and it seems to fit the bill. I wish it came with a top cover to help keep dust out but then I'd be nitpicking. For the price, its not bad at all...!

The APTGAME arcade cabinet for Switch surprised me with its sturdy design and simple installation. The stick-and-button layout is comfortable, even for someone like me who owns three arcade sticks, despite the cabinet's small size. The price is just right for any Switch accessory collector. My only con is that I wish the Switch screen could be removed without needing to lift the screen compartment out of the cabinet, as that feels like more work than necessary. Overall, I highly recommend this cabinet to any fighting game enthusiast.
