This incredible duvet insert has been my trusted companion through freezing winter nights in Michigan, where temperatures in my room dropped as low as 2 degrees Fahrenheit. Yes, I'm that person who insists on keeping the window open at night, regardless of the weather. And let me tell you, if you're a chilly sleeper longing for warmth and cuddles from your significant other, but they're not up for it, this duvet insert is the perfect stand-in. I've never felt so toasty and comfortable in such extreme cold. I love this Duvet so much you'd swear I was a 2 year old walking around the house with his blankie. I refuse to leave it behind even if I go camping. Now, if you're dealing with a partner who turns into a human radiator and sweats in their sleep, fear not, because this duvet insert breathes like grandpa Don does when grandma finally bought him a CPAP. It retains heat when it's cold while allowing for excellent ventilation when it's hot. Since owning this gem, I can't recall a single night where I woke up sweaty. I can't sing enough praises for this duvet. It genuinely transformed my sleeping experience, and I doubt I'll ever go back to those nylon-stuffed comforters. You will notice the smell of this comforter the minute you open the package. I put in a seperate room, away from my bedroom for over a week and the smell did not subside. The comforter comes with a package insert indicating that you may need to wash it, but I hesitated to wash it, because I was not sure if I was going to keep it. I finally decided to wash it and if the smell didn't go away, I would return for that reason. The comforter I purchased is a California King. I have a large front loading washer and it took up every bit of space. The comforter washed fine, but drying it was a different issue. I ran it through a cycle once and it was still pretty damp, so I rearranged it in the dry and ran it through a cycle again. After that I took it out of the dryer and spread it out, so it could finish drying. Now that I have it washed and the smell is almost totally gone, I have been able to use it on my bed. I like the size of it, as I have a sleigh bed. The sides of the comforter come down low enought to cover the box springs and matress, but it does not hit the floor. Since it is summertime right now, it is too warm to have it on me at night, but once winter arrives, I think it will be the only blanket I will need. The instructions state that you should put a duvet cover over it, but I don't like the idea of that, because then you are not able to see all the large square boxes that make up the comforter. For the price, I think it is a good value. The ony reason I did not give it 5 stars, is because of the smell. ... show more

This down comforter is amazing! I've wanted one for 10 plus years, but could never bring myself to spend that much money on a comforter, especially with young kids, but I'm so so glad I did. I've been looking for months and have been hesitant on getting one online because of some of the negative reviews. I'm not sure about other people's experience, but mine was great. It came on time, it did not have a foul smell, it puffed up very quickly, and it is like a cloud. I got the winter oversized king. When I first opened it, it started puffing up immediately. 10 minutes in the dryer on tumble was all it needed. Since then, every night I look forward to crawling in bed because this comforter is quite literally a "comforter" in every sense. If you're hesitating on getting it, I say go for it. ... show more

I could not be more pleased with this one. I love the weight of it and I love that feeling of the cover. This comforter is exactly what I was looking for! It fits my CAL king bed evenly on both sides. It keeps me warm enough at night, without being overly hot, would definitely recommend! It’s in the duvet cover, so you can’t see it, but it’s really soft.
