The media could not be loaded. The Apple Watch Ultra is my favorite Apple product by far. I wanted a smart watch that would allow me to be able to leave my phone at home. Yes, I know that previous models had LTE capabilities but this one finally has a screen large enough to make the reliance bearable. Texting on it is made easy with access to a full keyboard. I take this to the gym and leave the phone behind giving me one less item to lug around with me while I’m there. Here are a few other points of difference that I love about this smart watch: • Battery life lasts 2-3 days on a single charge • The sapphire screen is very durable • The flat design makes it less prone to scratching the face • The Alpine Loop it comes with looks great and is very comfortable • Orange is my favorite color so the accents on the watch are a huge bonus for me All in all, this is a great product and more than worth price if you have the money! ... show more

REVIEW UPDATE: I've now had this watch for 3 1/2 months and love it even more, as it may well have saved my life. As I mentioned in my original review, one of the reasons I purchased the watch was because of all the health and health tracking features. About two weeks ago, I had an episode of being able to feel my pulse pounding in my head and received an irregular heart rhythm warning from my watch. I immediately sat down and did an ECG, using the watch, which indicated Atrial Fibrillation (A-FIB). Over the next couple of days, I had several more similar periodic episodes. That prompted me to make an appointment with my doctor to get checked out. By the time I went in for evaluation, I had recorded many more ECG episodes, using that feature on the watch. The doctor ran an EKG and confirmed an A-FIB diagnosis, based on that and my recordings. His lab drew blood for multiple chemistry testing and scheduled me for an Eco Ultrasound test later this month. I was also put on a blood thinner (Eliquis), to mitigate any possible blood clots forming. Had I not had the watch, knowing how much I hate going to doctors, there is a very good chance I would have blown off the symptoms I had and not gone for the medical check. When I bought the watch, a couple of my friends commented that it was too expensive. Yes, it WAS expensive, but what's your life worth? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Review: I purchased this watch from Amazon, have had it for one week, and already love it. It works as advertised and should serve me well for hiking, running, and as a backup unit for my SCUBA diving computer. It is not nearly as large and "clunky" on my wrist as I had imagined and is actually very comfortable to wear. As a 77-year-old, I also appreciate the various medical features and warnings. To help learn all the unit's various features and shortcuts, I highly recommend purchasing "Apple Watch ULTRA - Complete User Manual", by Billie B. Sheldon, also available from Amazon. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Where to begin… I read the reviews… I mean like too many with anticipation of the watch to get here. The dreadful obsession over the tracking information until it says “Out For Delivery” 😍 Let’s get some things straight, I’ve had the watch for two days now and have tested as much as I can. Here are my facts: it’s not a TON different than other watches as far as functionality. The differences are the look (of course), the overall sharpness of the screen, the way the crown feels when you spin it (it’s like buttuh baby) and a couple of cool new features with the new button… like being able to pause a workout by pressing the shortcut button and the crown together — that’s amazing. What I want to eliminate are some of the reviews I read: • Some were saying it’s too big — it’s large but if you’re coming from a 44mm it’s less than a quarter inch in size. You’ll adjust very quickly. • Some said it’s too heavy — I mean, if you’re using it as an ear ring it might be a tad heavy but I hardly notice a difference. The weight of this watch is straight up QUALITY. This watch makes me feel like I’m ready to take down a tree with an axe… BARE FOOTED. It’s a mean watch for sure. • One person said the screen is too bright — uhhhh, adjust the brightness? Who I think it’s for: • I think this is for the person who likes a variety of workout functionality and accuracy. • I think this is for the tech guru that likes to stay up to date on the latest apple products to feed their obsession. • I think this is for the person who wants to flex on everyone around them that they paid too much for a watch. Who I don’t think this is for: • The person who forgets to wear their watch and doesn’t really use their current Apple Watch to its full capacity and needs more options • The person who only has an Apple Watch for notifications while at work so they don’t get caught using their phone • the person who owns 27 watch bands to be stylish and fit the trends 😎 Final thought: If you’re an avid Apple lover and user and on the fence about it, GO FOR IT. Half of the reviews you read are personal opinions anyways. I absolutely don’t regret a penny. Lets start this out saying I LOVE this watch. I'm upgrading from a series 5. As someone who fly's small airplanes I wanted something that can take a beating on the other wheel (Crammed Cessna 172). Watch will last me about 3 days and by 10PM I usually have around 10% battery left. The Altimeter works perfect. At 5,300 feet on the planes gauge the watch reads exactly that. Watch body has some small nicks and scratches from hiking/fishing but the glass looks as good as day 1! I recommend this to people that fly airplanes, fishermen (Great fishing apps), and anybody who enjoys the outdoors. ... show more
