I assume is because I've added the metal ring with a strong and a kind of thick double sided foam so I can attach it to the phone holder in my car. When used without the phone case is charging pretty quickly and it warms up but does not get hot like when I use it with the phone case. I like that it comes with a longer cable so I can charge my phone from a longer distance from the power outlet. The magnet works pretty well and stays put while charging, even if I am fidgeting with the phone at the same time.

This item would have gotten a fifth star except for one issue which I will get to at the end. First the positives. This magnetic charger is great at clamping onto the back of the phone. It finds the right spot and locks in. One issue with this clamping is that you need to peel it off the back of the phone. Picking the phone up will bring the charger disc with it. Also, if you have a thick case (as I do), you do not get this strong magnetic clamping and you need to move the phone a bit to get to the sweet spot. The thicker case does allow you to just pick the phone up after charging but if you bump the phone accidentally, the charging may stop. This charger is not set up for quick charging. This is much more a nightstand style, charge overnight kind of charger. The cords that the charging discs are attached to provide enough length to reach an outlet and still sit securely on a nightstand (this assumes a modern constructed home with the NEC electrical guidelines). Overall, I like these chargers and the two pack allows for my wife and I to both have a bedside charger. My one issue with the product was that it appeared that my product was previously used. There were scratches on the top of the charging discs (both - one with more) and the cords appeared to have been repacked. I tried to get a photo of the scratches which I will post. I would not expect all products to be like this. If this is "new", then the manufacturer should place some plastic protective layering over the disc surface to protect it prior to customer purchase.

This pair of wireless chargers are very good quality. They offer fast charging, and thankfully, do not get warm when charging, which is always a concern when getting off market chargers. The cord is a really convenient 6 ft length, which is helpful if free outlets are hard to come by in your home. They each come with their own charging block too. They charge my phone really quickly compared to my previous wireless charger. The magnetic ring hold strong, so my hpone stays in the correct position, avoiding any disappointment, such as when you think your phone has been charging for the past hour, only to discover that the entire time, it wasn't aligned properly with the charger and you have to start over. These chargers are an excellent value for two, fast, efficient, wireless chargers.

A 2pk of Apple Mfi certified magnetic wireless chargers is a good value. The length of the cords are 6ft which are good length, not too long or too short. The magnet holds my iPhone well enough for me to use my phone while it charges even though you shouldn’t use your chargers while charging. The charger seems to be a fast charger when I leave it alone to charge. Recommend for any iPhone user.

These are great for you iPhone as the MagSafe is well done and secure. The charge blocks have a single Type-C port and power the pads properly, as you would expect on a set. I show them in the packaging and such since at the time I had not decided what to do with them. Meaning the MagSafe feature is great to ensure phone aligns with the charger but does not have a lot of value on a flat surface as alignment is not hard to accomplish. What I plan to do is take a phone stand and attach the MagSafe pad to it so that the phone is "suspended" by the MagSafe pad and the MagSafe pad is suspended by the stand. If you have a non-charging MagSafe stand this is a trivial task, you use one of the metal adhesive rings provided for non-MagSafe phones, attach it to the back of the pad, and it then is attached to the stand and iPhone attaches to the pad. Not sure I would try this for a car or moving item, but works great for a desk. I did this but did not grab a picture - sorry. I give an item four stars when it matches the listing, performs as expected, has a good price/value point, and this product meets those standards, but price is important. At the time of the review they are selling for $30 which I think is fair for the two pads and bricks. Up $10 not so much, down $5 and they would be five stars.

Only one of the two worked at all. The one that did work go so hot that you couldn't touch it. Aside from one not working and the heat, the magnet was strong and the chasing was as expected. The energy lost through heat makes it obvious that it's not very efficient. If they had both worked and they're was a way to dissipate the heat I'd be happy with the quality for the price but as is, it's not worth it.
