Shipping came as promised, packaged, with items intact securely. (only thing was, the "Stencils" were not included. I thought I saw a couple were to be included). And, item was really loud. Refund went smooth though and it was quick. However... So...knowing nothing about wattage or RPM's or anything like that, I began with the purchase of this item. I needed something specifically for my dogs' nails, sadly however, this WAS NOT going to be it, but not because my babes' are Pitbulls & we know how tough their nails are, but because there's no way this item would file down ANY dogs nails. You see, I charged it to 100% as soon as I received it as I was going over the instructions. I was really anxious to use this as my babies' nails were quite long. Understand that, while I never actually tried the item on my babes, I did turn it on & touch the spinny thingie with my finger & it slowed to barely a crawl and even stopped spinning completely, at the simplest touch. There is, IMO, no way it would have been able to file down, my pups', or any other pups' nails. And since there was no way it would work on my dogs' nails, I honestly couldn't imagine it working on any buffing, cutting, etching or whatever job it was supposed to. It simply does not have the power to hold it's own, so I opted to return it. I'm writing this review just so that you know. (I needed something quick, but it became all time consuming as I had to send it back, reorder & await an actual DREMEL!) I realize everyone has their own opinion on things, but I'm not off base on this. Thank you! ... show more

    • Perfect replacement for Dremel 7300 portable tool at much lower cost

For many years, I have a Dremel 7300 for working on plastic and aluminum scale model and radio contorl toys. After a third set of battery, the Dremel 7300 is not functioning well. This rotary tool is a better replacement at a fraction of the cost. The 1/8" collar allows me to use all the Dremel bits, wheels and gridder that I collected over the years. It uses a single Lithium Ion 18650 battery that seems to have reasonable capacity. The battery cell is NOT removable. At its price, you can afford a backup tool if you tend to work long session. It is not a substitute for the high speed, plug-in Dremel tool. ... show more

I've polished and sharpened a variety of items. It's quite good for home use with 5 speeds and a variety of stones and polishers to use. It didn't come with a block of polishing compound -- ebay or Amazon can provide all sorts of options for both dremel and dental. It has adapters for both dremel and dental straight HPs. It does not go in reverse like professional dental lab HPs, but otherwise it's got decent power and utility for modest home use. It will stall out if one pushes too hard on something you are trying to grind on. Turn off and back on to reset. It's not got the power to grind a big notch in heavy metal objects. There's better tools for that use. I've found it very useful for sharpening chain saws with the appropriate bit for the chain to sharpen. Being battery powered, it's nice to quickly sharpen in the field. ... show more
