For several years, I've used two "straps" over my closet door to hang hats. I don't recall the brand, but the straps have held up very well for the past 10+ years. However, it has never been a "perfect" solution as it limits what I can hang on the door hook, clangs every time I open the closet door (though I'm sure I could tighten them), and doesn't fit all of my hats (particularly the one or two fitted hats I have). First world problems for sure. I decided to look at some other options and came across this product. It arrived the other day, and I noticed right away that it wasn't flimsy or cheap. I had thought the "floorboards" would be removeable, but they are built in and seem sturdy. The plastic fronts seem thick and sturdy as well. My only issue is the size... it was a bit larger than I expected in terms of depth (height and width are as expected). I had to rearrange my closet door set up, but it was worth it because I've already been able to easily fit about 30 hats with plenty of room for more. My previous set up only allowed for about 15. I definitely recommend this if you have a bunch of hats and need an over the door solution. I also think this could easily be used against a wall with a few simple nails.

Works great! Stores quite a bit of hats. Between me and my wife we've got quite the collection but we haven't even come close to filling this holder. The only con I'd say is that theres nothing holding the bottom of it in place. It needs like an adhesive, suction cup or strap at the bottom because it's swings and sways. It's not dramatic, just more of a personal annoyance when opening and closing the door. Solid product though!

This is an impressive way to store ball caps using the back of my closet door. It may look cheap and flimsy to some people in the pictures, but it's not. This rack isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing but it holds a large amount of hats, which is what I was looking for. There’s enough space on each row to make the hats easy to sort through. The door is a bit harder to close with the extra weight and the metal hooks at the top, but so far I’m still able to shut it with a little extra effort. I ordered the grey color.
