My son (9) LOVES his hats. Can’t get rid of any. He’s a hat hoarder lol! This simple hanging ‘shelf like’ deal helped organize the hat hoard! There is room on his shelves for the stuff that actually belongs on them now! So SO easy. Take it right out of the box. Three hooks on the top, hook on door and done. For several years, I've used two "straps" over my closet door to hang hats. I don't recall the brand, but the straps have held up very well for the past 10+ years. However, it has never been a "perfect" solution as it limits what I can hang on the door hook, clangs every time I open the closet door (though I'm sure I could tighten them), and doesn't fit all of my hats (particularly the one or two fitted hats I have). First world problems for sure. I decided to look at some other options and came across this product. It arrived the other day, and I noticed right away that it wasn't flimsy or cheap. I had thought the "floorboards" would be removeable, but they are built in and seem sturdy. The plastic fronts seem thick and sturdy as well. My only issue is the size... it was a bit larger than I expected in terms of depth (height and width are as expected). I had to rearrange my closet door set up, but it was worth it because I've already been able to easily fit about 30 hats with plenty of room for more. My previous set up only allowed for about 15. I definitely recommend this if you have a bunch of hats and need an over the door solution. I also think this could easily be used against a wall with a few simple nails.

The media could not be loaded. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I had a hanging from a rope style cap holder for many years with the clamp/claws that dangle from it vertically but with time it got more brittle & could never hold more than three hats maximum per "claw" on the rope. While some hats have come & gone, the collection continued to grow in general so I needed something that was more compact & less likely to break with age. That's where this hat shelf suspension setup definitely works. I love how many hats it holds per shelf row & the slimness of the S hooks are great for fitting over doors and still allowing them to close with finished trim. The only knock is that the hooks themselves fit very loosely into the grommets and don't keep the shelves tight to the door. So there's a lot of Gap space at the top and they basically need to be custom bent to trap the grommets closer to the door. It's an unfortunate design to make it symmetrical and cheap out there. Otherwise I'd net this a five-star review but for that factor. It's nice n light weight too. I finally have extra room instead of being out of cap space

I purchased this to organize my winter scarves and gloves. It was very easy to assemble, just added the hooks on top to hang over the door. It functions well and hold all my winter scarves and gloves on top. My pageboy style hats did not fit well in this, but I purchased for either. It hangs well and allows my closet door to fully close.
