These gardening tools are as sharp as they look. I tested them out on my winter weeds, and I'm happy to say that I'm ready for spring. The L shaped tool will slice right between my sidewalk and driveway and the teeth grabbed all the growth and pulled it up. This blade has teeth on various sides to work with whatever angle you need. The curved blade is an ergonomic tool that you can just hit the weed in the middle with and pull roots. You'll have to hit the weeds a couple of it all loose, but between the curve and the sharp blades, it doesn't require much effort. What I liked: • It’s very well made and looks very nice. • Lightweight: it’s very light compared with other weeders I own. • Decent material and solid. • Good for some special uses such as crack weeds in driveway etc. • Included two weeders with different shapes. Some caveats: • It’s not very sharp. It may need several tries to remove a single weed. It’s not effective as I expected. • Labor intensive and takes a lot more time to get the job done as compared to my other weeders. • It’s ok for soil ground without a lot of gravel. ... show more

    • GREAT handtools for gardening
I got these tools to help me handle my garden, which was at one point overrun with salal and oregon grape. The problem with these invasive native plants is that their roots run deep and tangle, so even after I cleared the top of my garden from this blight, planting new plants is a chore since the roots make up an impossible netting that makes every task take hours ripping and pulling out. These tools are GREAT for ripping that network of roots out. I get EXCITED when I clear out large parts of my garden now because it's easy. It doesn't take hours, it talks half the time, and they rip and cut at the mess below my mulch. They're standing up to the use on my front yard, the garden of which covers a half acre. ... show more

If you are looking to gift these lovely gardening tools, you are in luck because the packaging is really very nice. They present as a quality, higher end item and the box is perfect for a 'presentation'!! However, if you plan to keep them to yourself, smart move!! They are a lovely quality. Super sturdy, stainless steel with hardwood handles and are a speciality weeding item for those super annoying (and difficult to pull with regular tools) weeds in the cracks (cracks of pavers, drivesways or pretty much anywhere that some pesky seed can lodge itself and take hold! I am very impressed with the quality for the price -a super value. They look as though they will last a good long time. I also love that they come with the handles drilled and hanging cord already in place (I typically drill my tools for this purpose if they are not already drilled) since I am saved this hassle! The media could not be loaded. Really enjoyed using this set to pull and clear out my driveway’s crevices of weeds. The ergonomic wooden handle is comfortable, and the aesthetically pleasing stainless finish works as good as they look. The weed pulling tool has a pointy end to pierce the soil with ease, and the barbs help to snag weeds by the roots. It works perfectly for medium sized roots, and naturally the smaller roots sever as they are delicate. It will not pull much larger roots maybe 1/2” or larger, but these are not designed for that. I just grabbed some pliers for those. I didn’t utilize the crevice weeding tool nearly as much, but it worked to clean the areas of my driveway with nooks and crannies. The key to using this tool is to go over and around the weeds with repetition agitating the area so the weed and debris come loose. The top end acts as a scraper with serrated edge on one side, but I have yet to use it for those intended purposes. For storage, the handles have drilled holes with leather lanyards for hanging. I just keep them in my gardening tool bag, as the stainless steel finish should keep them rust free. I highly recommend this set for anyone into gardening or landscaping. There is no weed puller that makes it easy, but I had to continually reapply this weeder to the weed in the crack in order to get all of it out. While the bigger of the two tools was slightly more effective in deeper cracks, all in all, not efficient. I do not recommend this item. ... show more

I was stunned at the beauty of these tools! I have used a similar 90 degree tool before and found it wicked for digging out deep-rooted weeds. The slanted tool is great for driveway and curb cracks. I have to dig out the weeds from a 200 foot curb a couple of times a year, and I ran right out and make short work of it with this tool. The tools felt good, and I did like the wooden handles on my hands - and the nice hanging loops. Like others here, I hated to disturb the presentation of the tool by using it...but it's a tool, right? I will have to use it a season to see how well it holds up, and I'll come back and up or downgrade it if needed. ... show more

The AON 2Pack Hand Crack Weeder Puller Tool Set is well made for the tactical gardeners like me. The L-shaped tool works incredibly well in removing the stubborn weeds that grow on cracks. The barbs at the end of the tool does a great job in grabbing the roots of the weeds as I pull them out. The barbed weed puller tool likewise is effective in grabbing the roots of the weeds as I pull them out. The tools are made from thick stainless steel plates that appear to be corrosion resistant enough to last for years.
