Love the dual features because it’s an alarm clock and a white noise machine. In addition anything automated to my iPhone these days is a preference. Originally I was going to use this in my room but now I think we’ll try to set it up in the baby’s nursery as she doesn’t like the dark and the noise is advantageous to her sleep, (and therefore ours!) I do wish it came in a darker wood or black finish, though. The team sort of gives it a modern flair.

Couple of things. First and foremost set up as a giant pain in the butt. Why it wouldn't automatically sync the time through the app completely befuddles me. Not only that but every time you touch the clock the functions change. So here we are trying to set up colors and sound but if you accidentally bump the clock as people tend to do when trying to move things around the sounds change, the lights change, all of the settings you just worked so hard for change. No worries you can just go into the app and fix it, right? Sure who wants to fix their freaking clock through an app all day long? The reason for my return though, and this is important if you've made it this far in the review is that they are super glitchy. Now for something that's supposed function as an alarm clock which wakes people up for the day, glitches are really bad idea. Take for example today the day after Christmas. I have morning alarm set on both of these clocks for my kids. Verified several times, both of those alarms are turned off in the app. Wi-Fi is on on both my phone and the clocks so I know for sure everything was pushed through. This morning my kid should be sleeping in so imagine my surprise when I hear these damn clocks start to go off in their bedrooms. I could almost chalk that up to use her error, but here's the real problem; the alarms are off by 1 hour. So, yes even though I verified in my phone that the alarms should not be going off because they are both turned off, and yet they are going off, the best part is they are set for 7:00 in the morning, and here it is 8:00 in the morning and both alarms are going off. So it's a good thing they didn't need to be up at 7:00 for anything. I went into their rooms to verify both clocks do in fact say 8:00. So first of all why are they alarming? Second of all why are they alarming 1 hour late? Returning these right now, as I'm not taking any chances on these expensive things moving forward.

This is a detailed review in hopes it will help other people before purchasing. I did a lot of research and purchased a few clocks before buying this one. There weren't a lot of details in the reviews for this product, but based on the information I could find, the price point, and the amount of good reviews, I decided to give it a try. I don't really care about fancy features, like being able to use Alexa or Google. I really don't even care about having an app necessarily. The main features I need in my sunrise alarm are the ability to use the alarm with the light only, no sound, having dual alarms, the ability to turn off the display at night and the light being a gradual sunrise. Not instant. Below are the pros and cons I discovered while using the alarm. PROS: 1. Stylish. Most other clocks on the market look like giant egg yolks to me. This one looked exactly as pictured, and looked great on my nightstand. Very modern without looking too modern. It went well with my other decor. 2. I love the light feature itself, not just for aesthetic reasons but because with a light tap on the top, you can change the colors of the lights very easily. This also makes reading at night easier. 3. I liked that it had a button to actually turn the light off without having to filter through every color light. 4. It has dual alarms, which you can use the app to set to whichever days you need. Unlike other alarm clocks that make you choose between weekdays and weekends. I like to have two alarms set from M-Th. and then one for F-Su. This function was nice. 5. I liked that you can use the app to choose which color light, and brightness you want to wake up to. 6. There is a feature in the app where you can turn off music and just use the light to wake up to. However, the sound has to be set to "1", even if you turn the toggle off for music. Which was sort of strange but it didn't affect the alarm going off. I wanted to use just the light feature with no sound to wake up to and I was happy I could do this. 7. You can turn off the alarm by pressing the top of the light, or the light button on the right-hand side when your alarm goes off. This is tested with the sunrise light feature only. I did not use any sounds for the alarm. In other clocks I have purchased when you use the sunrise light feature only, It won't allow me to hit snooze or shut the alarm light off without turning the entire clock off. So this made it easy when the alarm went off. CONS: 1. I had issues with connecting the device upon start-up. We have really strong internet but it's 5G. It wouldn't connect the clock to the 5G network. I had to use our other WiFi signal to connect the device to the app, and in order to do that, you have to make sure your phone is connected to the same network. So in other words, in order for me to use the app, I had to use my non-5G network or switch before using the app to get it to connect to the clock 2. The setup process was annoying. It was overly complicated in the instructions. Although I did figure it out after a couple of hours. I assumed once I connected the clock to the app through WiFi, it would set the time automatically because it asks for your time zone in the settings. However, I had to manually input the time, date, and day of the week on the clock itself. The instructions do not explain the basics of using the clock. Like how long snooze lasts, if there is an option to set the sunrise to start going off before your actual alarm time, etc. The instructions are lacking and at the same time complicating other features within the app. 3. The sound quality is awful. I didn't use the sounds on this device at all because of that. There is also not a broad range of sounds to choose from compared to other clocks. 4. The instructions say something about making sure your Bluetooth is on, but there is no Bluetooth connection option. So you cannot use this to play music or sounds other than what's already on the device app. 5. You cannot use the alarms without the app. You can use the clock display itself, and you can use the physical buttons to use the light for reading and other activities, but you have to use your phone and the app to use any of the alarm features. 6. The clock does not have a backup battery and won't work if it's not plugged in. 7. The cord that comes with the clock is very short. Depending on your outlets and setup, you may have to provide another cord. It's the standard USB. 8. The display has too many things on it. It looks unkempt and jumbled, making it somewhat harder to read. It has the time, the day of the week, the date, the weather temp, the alarm setting icon, and the WiFi icon, all on one smaller screen. 9. The weather temp isn't accurate on the clock itself. I set the alarm up at night, and as time went on, it showed the temperature increasing instead of decreasing. It was also off about 15 degrees. Inside the app, the weather showed accurately. This wasn't a deal breaker, just more annoying than anything. 10. The most important thing that didn't work for me with this alarm, and the main reason I returned it, is you cannot turn off the display at night. It has a feature to dim the display, in 3 dimming settings, but even with the lightest one, it lit up the whole ride side of the room. Small lights disturb my sleep. This may just be a personal issue. I know a lot of people make suggestions like putting tape or thick paper over the clock. But this defeats the purpose of being able to use the clock during the time I'm awake. I would have to remove it every day. I've also seen people suggesting throwing a towel over the clock. But you wouldn't be able to shut the alarm off with a towel over it. You'd have to remove the towel. Half the reason you purchase this clock is for the way it looks. For the $50 I spent, I don't want to have to cover the clock. I did not use the Alexa or Google feature on this clock so I cannot speak to how good that connection is, or how well it works. I like the look of this clock and really wanted it to work. I start work at 5am and after 3 years still struggle to wake up, so I wanted to try a sunrise alarm. However after following instructions to set the alarm, the alarm didn't go off. The clock face is too bright and needs to be able to dim further. If you like a nightlight, then that that won't bother you. The touch feature, while handy, also works when my cats bump it or sniff it, so I was suddenly awakened when my cat made its nightly stroll around the bedroom lol! The sound options are horrible quality. So I am returning it. It's basically a mood light, can change colors in the app or use a preset feature to gently turn from one color to the next. It can blend colors so color options are practically limitless. I like having the date and temp displayed. I'm going to see if there's an app that can turn my phone into a sunrise alarm before trying another one.

Bought as a gift and love it! The colors are so nice and tranquil. Makes lots of different sounds. Tells indoor temp and time. It was an excellent gift for the price. Very easy to get started. I thought the packaging was kinda cheesy but the quality of product inside was excellent.

This has been so nice as a sound machine and to show the temperature in my baby's room. I can monitor the temperature in the extreme weather months with peace of mind. My only complaint is that the arch is very touch sensitive to changing the sounds and colors which can be a distraction if you're reaching over to grab something and the mood changes.
