This is my second in a cubic, resin printer, and as good as my original photon was, the D2 blows it out of the water. Amazing output quality the anti-aliasing works fantastic when combined with the blur and grayscale I end up using a lot less support so the part is easier to clean from the supports. The craftsman resin is a little more expensive, but I think that it is worth it. I absolutely love the look of the black resin. My primary use of this machine is for game, props and miniatures. Everything appears to operate correctly. I noticed that the vat has a defect on the black plastic adjacent to the clear plastic bottom and was also scuffed heavily. Not sure it i should take the risk of printing and resin leaking thru the vat but i also don’t want to wait for return and redelivery. I will give it a shot but QC is clearly not the greatest so be sure to inspect your machine before use. Setup was easy and machine looks great. Excited to start printing! ... show more

This is a great printer with better resolution prints and details than my mono4k. However I'm getting a little much more failure rates prints than my mono4k lcd printer. Be aware and be very careful of the resin tank film. It got deformed on my first print after unboxing. This does not require any films to be placed on top of the screen. However you çan get FEP films for the bottom of the resin tank. I just wished for the price you pay. You get more details about how to deal with FEP films for DLP printers as they aren't the same technology with LCD printers. I will update this review as I spend more time with this printer. Update: So I printed parts to make star Citizen space ships, I can tell that the DLP is seriously a great upgrade for getting details. Look at the photos of the detail. After using the printer for a while I have to say when it does work it's quite nice! But be aware of the amount of effort it requires to use correctly. I highly suggest you follow a guide, on how to setup, teardown, remove, clean, AND cure prints. But the main complaint I have is that my printer has suddenly stopped working with no warning. Nothing during trouble shooting has worked, and their help email line flat out doesn't respond to requests for help. Don't expect any customer service, and be ready for the device to suddenly stop working with no recourse. ... show more

Easier to use and maintain then the Phrozen mini 8k, but also prints just as well and is more forgiving if exposure levels arent perfect. I am going to order a 2nd.

Great printer. Easy to level the print table and gives nice quality prints. Would be good for a beginner. It doesn't print as nice or as quickly as my solus, but it is a 20th of the price.

I will say this is my first resin printer and I'm still learning. I've been using FDM printers for some time. SO, anyway back to the review. The resolution is great the detail is amazing, I would like a little more build height. The only issue I had was with the FEP and the stock holding tank. The FEP either leaked or the tank leaked which created a mess, so I replaced the entire tank with an aluminum one and easier replaceable FEP screens. Found out later that a few of the screws on the anycubic resin tank were not tight, which might have caused the issue. ... show more
