  • I'm impressed
Size: Photon Mono X 6Ks
I was so intimidated about setting it up and calibrating it that it sat in a box for a couple months. The instructions aren't the best in terms of that, and I had to watch some youtube videos by users to figure out what I was doing. This is my first 3D printer ever mind you. The slicing program it comes with seems to be a little overexcited about adding more supports. I put some pre-supported models in, and it wanted to add more. So aside from the RERF, I trusted the slicer and let it add some. The print was near impossible to get the supports off of. I wrestled with it for hours and a lot of things got damaged. So my second print I ignored the warning, I stuck with the pre-supports that came with the STL I was printing to see what would happen, and it came out beautifully. I would say if you are new like me, it is probably worth trying some of the 3rd party slicers that experienced people recommend so you can see easier if extra supports really needed added. Ignoring the slicer and the instructions, I think it's a really nice printer and the results are amazing. I'm glad I went with this model to have a decent size build plate. It fills up a lot faster than I thought with the way models needs to be tilted to support. The touch screen controls seem to work well and are pretty user friendly. The machine seems really sturdy and well made. The build plate is really easy to take on and off and secure. The vat is a bit more of a pain than I would like to be able to remove because the screws need to come all the way out. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and think it was a great deal. ... show more

  • Easy to use great prints at killer price
Size: Photon Mono X 6Ks
Build plate size is amazing I can fit 15 supported "not space marines" in 1 plate, very quiet and fast, I used the cones of calibrations and at 2.0 sec per layer I was still overexposed but i decided to stick with that setting and it prints without fails, the plate holds 0 without issue. A lot of online supp from anycubic community which is great I used black dlp resin I had around now I'll test with regular resing and see how it goes, I'm loving this machine I have an DLP printer and its great but the size is small, this 6ks does everything I want for my table top hobby. and the anycubic slicer it might not be the best but is simple to use and if I need to tweek stuff i prop the file in chitubox then slice in photonworkshop and no fail prints. ... show more

  • Anycubic Photon Mono 4K 3D Printer
What other printer manufacturer greats you with a smile as you unbox their product? That is truly a good first impression. The Anycubic Photon Mono 4K 3D Resin Printer appears to be a very good product and of good build quality. The base is solid, the lid is thick, and the accessories included make this a great purchase at this price point. The product was packaged well and had plenty of padding to prevent damage in shipping. Upon opening the box you are greated with a smile and the instructions for the machine. The base appears to be very solid and the screens came protected and without damage. There was some grease on the base (pictured) but there appears to be no damage. It was pretty easy to clean so I am not worried. The lid is thick and looks to be of high quality. It fit easily over the base and did not wobble (no warped edges). The mounting platform was packaged in its own box. The padding was only on the back of the plate and the front was unpadded. The plate looks like it is of good quality and was not warped. The reservoir was well padded and came with screen protectors. It is built well and does not seem flimsy when a small force is applied to the corners. The reservoir also comes with fill lines and a pour spout to make resin retreaval easier. The accessories advertised came in a separate box with the power brick. A few of the paper filters were torn near the top but not enough to render then useless. The metal scraper was separate and took me a bit to find. It was in the bottom most padding under the printer in the box. UPDATE: I have been using this printer since Christmas 2022 (it is now 9/6/23) and it has been great! I posted a picture of my first print last year and it was a successful and very high quality print. There has been a lot I have had to learn about proper venting while printing and curing appropriately, but there are plenty of resources online to learn about that. This printer is still holding up well and I am still impressed with the quality for the price. This product is very well manufactured and the extra accessories seem usable. This is a very well designed printer for the price and I recommend it to anyone who wants a quality platform to learn 3D resin printing. ... show more

  • Good for its price and smaller prints.
The setup process was straightforward, and I appreciated the user-friendly interface and touchscreen controls, which made navigating through the settings a breeze. Additionally, the printer's build quality is robust and durable, ensuring stable and precise printing. The 4K resolution of the LCD screen allows for intricate and finely detailed prints, resulting in smooth surfaces and sharp edges. I was particularly impressed with the level of accuracy and the ability to produce complex designs with ease. The printing speed is decent, and the printer operates relatively quietly, making it suitable for home or office use without causing any disturbances. One of the standout features of the ANYCUBIC Photon Mono 4K is its excellent compatibility with a wide range of 3D printing resins, giving users the flexibility to choose the material that best suits their specific projects. However, it's worth noting that the resin-based printing process can be messy and requires proper ventilation due to the fumes emitted during printing. In conclusion, the ANYCUBIC Photon Mono 4K 3D Printer is a fantastic choice for hobbyists, artists, and designers who seek precise and highly detailed 3D prints. Its ease of use, sturdy construction, and remarkable print quality make it a valuable addition to any creative workspace. ... show more
