This is perfect for my son who is an early riser. He wakes up before the sun most days and immediately comes into our room to wake us up as well. This is perfect because he knows that unless there is an emergency, he stays in his room and plays until light is green. The clock works really well but I'm using it for my 10 year old who used to have a clock that was similar but had some functions that this one doesn't. There is a child lock switch on the bottom which isn't needed for our use. On our previous clock, it was a switch to change from a 5-day (weekday) repeating alarm to a 7-day repeating alarm.. My son really misses having the ability for the alarm to be scheduled for different days. Also, he used to use a sleep timer on the clock which had a color-changing light around the clock face. This new clock has only a white light with the sleep timer which is too bright for him so he doesn't use the sleep timer. He does enjoy the alarm options and that the clock has different colors around the clock face. ... show more

I got this clock mainly to teach my 2.5yo to stay in his bed if he wakes up too early in the morning. He's not old enough to be able to name objects yet so I came up with the name "Anto" (based on the manufacturer name) and he calls it "baby Anto" and thinks it's so cute. I tell him that baby Anto is asleep and it's time to get up when it turns green. We also use the lullaby sounds sometimes. Our 1st one stopped working within a year like the screen wouldn't turn on. But we loved it so much we got another. Hopefully the 2nd lasts longer. We use it as night light and then it turns green when our 4 year old can come out and wake us up.
