I make it a point to read the bad reviews before buying anything to try and get the whole picture. I almost didn't buy this based on some of the poor reviews but thought I would give it a shot and am glad I did. Some of the negative reviews are a bit odd on this. For one, I have never seen a more clear and yet very concise instruction booklet (with pictures i might add). Instructions are crystal clear and even include shortcuts for some of the programming. There is a way to turn off the alarm, which is also clearly outlined in the instruction book. There is a way to swap from 12 hour and 24 hour time, 3 light dimming modes which are great, and the book clearly says if you set the stay in bed time for a time before the current time (i.e. 7:00 PM but it's 7:15 PM), the red light won't come on until the next night. Perhaps they've recently updated the instructions, I'm not sure. The numbers are clear and not difficult to read unless you are looking down from above the clock at an angle, which is true of most digital clocks I have seen, so not something unexpected for a digital clock display). I have had this for a week and it has worked perfectly so far. Bonus which I didn't realize is the light part is also a nightlight, only if you want, which you can program for a specific period of time and turn off and on simply by pushing the top. So if it's go to sleep time and you push the nightlight button, a soft white light shows for whatever period of time you set (say 30 minutes). After the time is up, the light will go back to whatever color it's supposed to be then (i.e. red). Anyway, this has exactly the functionality described, is easy to use, my son loves it, I love it, and so far nothing has broken and it seems well made. Only suggestions for buyers: read the description, and then if you buy it, read the instructions. Enjoy your sleep!

This is a great product! My 5 and 3 year old were getting out of bed way too early just because they did not know if it was morning yet or not! This alarm clock did the job perfectly! My instructions to the kids were that when it's red, you need to try to sleep. When it's yellow (20 minutes before wakeup time), they can play quietly in bed or get dressed in bed - their clothes are prepared on the edge of their bed. Once it's green, they can get up and play! The first few times, they jumped out of bed and ran to me with the biggest smiles - "It's green, it's green, we can get up!" Even thought the excitement wore off by now, they are still sticking to the rules. Instructions are easy to read and understand (no ill-translated words). It's easy to reset your timings if the kids are off schedule. It has a lock feature so the kids can't play around with the buttons. I personally turned off all sound so it doesn't wake the kids if they do happen to be sleeping. The chart that was included was a great incentive. The book was an awesome bonus too! All in all, GREAT PRODUCT!

As a parent to four kids, I cannot express how grateful I am for the Kids OK to Wake clock! This has absolutely changed our family's sleep routine. The clock's design is adorable and makes my kids excited to use it. Setting up the clock was a breeze, thanks to the clear instructions provided. Within minutes, it was ready to go! With customizable settings, I could easily program the clock to match my children's sleep schedule. The soft glow of the nightlight function provides a soothing atmosphere, allowing my kids to settle down and fall asleep more easily. The morning wake-up feature is simply fantastic! I really like this product for my toddler! It gives me peace of mind knowing that I have til the same time every morning to be ready for her to get out of bed. She picked up the concept in a night or two. She didn’t like the red light on at night so we just have the green set to on and it’s still very effective. The only thing I don’t love about it is setting it, it’s a bit counter intuitive as on the left side, to turn it up you use the leftmost button. It also starts beeping really loudly every time you push a button until you get to the point where you can turn the sound down. Which I always hate when I’m trying to put her to bed. Overall it’s a great product for the price and I would definitely recommend it.

This is the one you want! I bought this for my daughter and it works very well. Simple, effective, does everything we need. Still working perfectly after a year and half of daily use. Now I'm back to buy another for my son! I love the nap feature. Yes, you have to set it everyday, but it is easy. And if you are a mom like me, naptime varies every day anyhow, so setting a timer each day works best.

We’ve been using this clock for our toddlers the past 2 years. It’s been a game changer! It really helped them learn when to stay in bed and when it’s ok to get up. The clock has a lot of features. Some that are particularly helpful are the nap timer and the battery backup (so if your power goes out or you’re traveling it will keep all your settings saved). But what I was really impressed with was the customer service. After about a year and a half the power cord for the clock started going bad and eventually stopped working completely. I messaged the seller about it, not being expecting much, but they got back to me right away and sent me a new power cord for free! That’s definitely above and beyond and I really appreciated it.
