Back of the mirror has 3 metal flaps for hanging, but it’s glued to CARDBOARD on the inside of the mirror…I know because one ripped off as I was hanging with command strips Out of the box and from the side, the mirror isn’t as flat as expected; it’s curved due to the metal flaps glued on the inside/back, but thankfully the curve isn’t visible from the front and there’s no funhouse mirror effect when using ... show more

This rectangular mirror features rounded corners and a thick black anodized aluminum frame. The mirror can be hung vertically or horizontally and comes with two wall anchors and screws. The mirror came packaged in a flat box encased in Styrofoam, and there was no damage during shipment. The mounting system consists of welded hangers on the back of the mirror. This type of hanging system is difficult to install because you have to make precise measurements to get the spacing just right or the holes in the mounting brackets won’t line up with the screws that you place in the wall. I would have preferred French cleats, which are much easier to install. The quality of the frame is good, but there is a seam where the ends of the metal meet at the top of the mirror. This is fine and not noticeable unless you know what to look for. The glass itself is clear and has no imperfections. The installation was not particularly difficult, but it does take some time. I mounted this in a bathroom, and wanted it to be centered to the faucet and the vanity light. It took several careful measurements to ensure it was not only centered, but also level. Hanging it was simple once the screws are in the wall, but I needed someone to hold it while I lined up the mounting holes to the screws. I do like the look, as it is contemporary and sleek. This is a simple rounded edge rectangular mirror with a thin golden metal frame. It appears to be well made. There are pre-installed hangers for vertical or horizontal hanging. I really appreciate that. Usually, mirrors only come with one or the other. I think this is a nice transitional piece. As it doesn't scream one particular design style. I had originally thought I would put this in my son's bathroom, hung horizontally, as we are slowly changing things. However, I am now thinking about a vertical hang in the hallway. I love adding mirrors to brighten and open up spaces. Overall, I would have to say, if this is the size and style you were looking for in a mirror, this is a very nice choice for this price point.
