Installed this mirror in a new guest bathroom (without shower, so I cannot comment on anti-fog feature). I was skeptical at first based on others installation reviews. In short, the mirror comes with a corded plug attached. I cut the plug off and hard wired it to a SWITCHED circuit. Others have said it wouldn't work via a switch (on or off, settings memory). Mine does! Whatever LED hue I choose / brightness level, it is remembered when I turn it on or off via the light switch. Installation was fairly simple. Mount two metal cleat brackets to the wall, splice (or use plug if you have an outlet), hang mirror on cleats. Now, for the only negatives (removed one star for these): 1. Included cardboard mounting template: it would be nice if the template was sized so that you knew where the top of the mirror was relative to the holes in the template. This would allow you to more accurately place the mirror if you wanted it hung at a specific height. I bent the cardboard so I knew where the top of the mirror would be relative to the holes. 2. When you hang the mirror on the brackets, the bottom of the mirror does not sit flush to the wall, it is angled slightly off the wall. This could easily be fixed by the manufacturer, if they increased the depth of the bracket off the wall. I am going to put a few washers behind my bracket, to solve this problem, so the mirror lies flush to the wall. Purchased this mirror for our bathroom remodel in hopes to light the bathroom better. I was so pleasantly surprised at the high quality of this product! The mirror is huge and beautiful! The media could not be loaded. I've had this mirror for about a month and so far it's amazing. My wife loves the lighting feature. I love that it's a big mirror and easy for me to install. This is a pretty expensive purchase for me but so far its worth it. Overall - This mirror feels like a solidly built mirror. It has weight to it so that makes me feel the parts used aren't cheap. The glass is visually clear and there were no chips etc when it arrived. You can see in my pictures the packaging provided really protects the mirror from damage in transit. Installation - Very easy to install. You may need two people latch the mirror onto the wall to make things easier. Make sure the attached metal bars are facing the right direction so the mirror latches on. (see my picture with the metal bars). I was able to install this mirror in about 30 minutes. I took my time to make sure things are leveled and triple checked my measurements. One thing I did was that I used my own drywall screws instead of the ones provided. I wanted something more heavy duty (paranoid). Again, this mirror has some weight to it so I feel better by using screws rated for heavier objects. The lighting on the mirror - SO COOL. I never had such a mirror before. My wife and I are both really liking it. There are 3 color temperatures you can cycle through. It's really easy to use and the touch response is good. I only need to push once to get the mirror to sense the finger touch. These are pretty light touches as well. Defogging / Heating element - This is pretty cool too and I can't wait to use it more during winter. The defog feature works pretty quickly and I was surprised that the mirror didn't get hot to the touch. I thought it would in order to defog but somehow it doesn't. I typically just turn it on at the beginning of my shower to keep things defoggged the whole time. I also forgot to do that and have turned it on after I step out...it works pretty quickly to defog. Cons - If you hang your mirror vertical like I do, The visual layout of the buttons become sideways. This isn't a deal breaker to me at all since there's only 3 buttons but thought I'd mention it in case someone cares about that. TL;DR: This is a good mirror and it's freaking amazing with the lighting and defogging. Heavy, but feels high quality. It's also very easy to install. Pros: - high quality (has some weight) - mirror is super clear - defogs quickly - 3 lighting temperatures - easy to install - decent cord length (2.5 feet or so?) Cons: - buttons can visually look sideways depending on your install orientation ... show more
