This style has the seam off the shoulder, hitting further down the arm with extended cuffs for extra length (or you could fold the cuffs to shorten). Lays nicely buttoned or unbuttoned. The material is very soft, so if you wanted to wear this during the warmer months, it won't scratch your skin. Just the right amount of weight for warmth against the cold air conditioning. I would wash this material as delicate and lay flat to dry. Seems it might stretch if you hang to dry. The buttons are delicate. For reference, I am 5'9" with long arms and small shoulders, about 170lbs and wear a size 8 (medium). A medium would most-likely fit true-to-size, but I wanted more room for layering and extra warmth.

I usually wear a medium in tops, and when I want something to fit oversized I get a large, so I got a large. The fit is perfect. I'm 5 ft and it hits around my hips, but isn't so long I look like I'm drowning in it, and it's just slouchy enough to look cute and comfy. The material is extremely soft and feels expensive. The only problem I have with it is that on the sides theres a weird amount of slouch that sticks out from the shape of the sweater because of the seam.

I honestly think I made a mistake buying medium so I was surprised when it arrived. I usually wear an XL (size 14) and Amazon suggested I get an XL, but you can see in the photos that the medium is nicely oversized anyway, which allows for nicer draping when French tucked (pants in the photo are high waisted/at my belly button, for reference). I would say size down from your normal size. Also, the gray color is a warmer gray than the photo. I was expecting a silver gray but in person it has a taupey tinge to it. I really like this sweater, it's a thicker, heavier weight fabric and very cozy. The kind of fall sweater you keep at your desk to throw on when you are cold in the office.
