I’m using this for a costume, and it looks fantastic! Great quality pieces. I bought chainmail separately to complete the look. I’m a plus size woman (size 20), and it fits well with a sports bra on. The metal pieces are adjustable. You’ll need to bend them to contour to your body. The metal bends fairly easily, but be aware it can scuff. I accidentally marked up the chest plate while using my granite countertop to shape it. But it’s armor anyway, so I’ll call it battle damage and move on. I sanded down some of the sharp edges. It’s not bad before the sanding but makes it more comfortable while moving. I also trimmed the excess leather straps for a cleaner look (not pictured). Unlike other reviewers, my straps were fine. I can’t raise my arms up all the way up easily and do have to readjust after movement. That said, given everything else, I think this is totally worth it! Edit: After wearing this to several events, I can confirm it looks awesome, but I constantly have to adjust it. I might add some extra straps to secure it better. I give it a 4.5. ... show more

i reallly like these! i think theyre good for the price point. they come wrapped in bubble wrap with oil to prevent moisture from seeping in. bit big for me as i'm 5'3 with a smaller frame than who im sure these are meant for.

Good quality metal, attached by leather straps as shown. It can fit different sized bodies with the leather straps and varying adjustment points. It functions as intended, it does shift very slightly as you move as it is 4 individual pieces so I was having to occasionally adjust them. A quick realignment and adjustment did the trick, and it always looked great. However, the neck areas, if you don’t wear padding beneath, the inner neck areas of the metal will pinch your skin. Great quality and design. This is great for starting out building a set of armor. It allows for good mobility and is easy to put on. It will look great layered with other pieces like chainmail or tabard. Comfort is as expected for plated armor but isn’t too heavy or restrictive. Great quality, and adjustable with straps to fit a variety of body shapes. I recommend some type of padded under garment or bib to protect your neck from rubbing on the metal. ... show more

This item is actually pretty impressive! I didnt expect it to be real metal, heavy, it was greased, and also smelled like leather. I was just very impressed. I did return it though because it wasnt quite what i was looking for, but overall, really great item!

I love my medieval pauldrons and gorget. They look very dashing and feel like thirteenth century armament. They aren't too heavy and have adjustable straps to fit multiple shoulder builds. And the quality is definitely worth the price.

Good quality and extremely fast shipping. I’m happy with the look and value however my particular piece was “damaged” on receipt. The packaging was in great shape so I’m assuming it’s before it was packed but I know a sheet metal guy can straighten this crease out with no issues.
