The media could not be loaded. Very strong, quality-built, cable. This is not the first Anker product I've bought, and never regret it, they keep the quality in their products and as a customer that's very gratifying. They actually incorporated a Velcro stripe with this model, so you can keep it tidy as well as your desk, table, etc. The plugs' housings are made of rigid plastic with a matte black finish, with one of them having the logo engraved in it. The bottom of the housing is flexible adding room for bending without causing breaks (different than the LG, which is also bigger) Flexibility is limited throughout the cable so it doesn't break. Connection to the cell phone (Nexus 5x) is a perfect fit, even with a case on, you will hear a click. And its a very secure fit, which I really liked. Compared to the original LG cable, this one is shorter by 3in but seems about the same thickness. Charging: Anker does claim that the fast charging feature is not available with this cable, but it showed (using the Ampere app) a Max USB current: 1500mA (with Anker's powerport 2) and max charging ranging from 1230 to 1320 mA. while the Original LG and Anker's USB-C to USB-C Max USB current: 3000mA (LG's charger) and max charging ranging from 1720 to 1850 mA. What does this means in terms of speed/time? I will keep track of the time it takes to charge from 10 to 100% and update this review soon.

I ordered two of the following cables: Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable (3ft) with 56k Ohm Pull-up Resistor for USB Type-C Devices Including the new MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nokia N1 Tablet, OnePlus 2 and More The cables work very well with Android Auto, with no connection errors. The cables also worked fine when connected to my computer for Android app development, music and picture file transfer, as well as charging. The phone draws at most 1.5 amps through this cable, which is the correct amount for a USB-C to USB-A cable. The USB-C plug end is one solid piece, which is stronger than the two piece design of some cables. Also, the sleeve is strong as advertised. The Velcro strip on the cable is a nice addition for tying the cable. For my Nexus 5X, it does take some force to connect the cable properly, but this is not the only cable that this happens with, and I don't feel that it's worth losing a star. The cables were also fairly priced for the quality.

*Updated review* Mistakenly I chose to ignore the negatives in the reviews for this cable, namely the loose connection due to anker usually being super great quality; this is not the case. Typically when purchasing cables anker is the first brand that comes to my mind due to the quality and durability of their cables, this does not seem to adhere to that standard, the cable feels decent enough, however the connection is quite loose and I actually dropped 5 percent while charging simply because it wouldn't stay in, not to mention after less than 5 uses the USB a end (the end that plugs into a USB port, or adapter) already bent. I am immensely disappointed in anker, this is a subpar cable not fitting their typical quality. *****UPDATE***** After ordering this cable and expressing my sheer disappointment in it, Anker reached out, rather quickly, to replace the cable free of charge. To be fair I had already purchased a replacement cable, and I didn't feel like bothering with a reply, however that did not stop them, in their persistence to correct the issue contacting me one (possibly two more times, as I can't quite recall the exact number) in an attempt to send a replacement, I finally caved. I am very happy I did, the new cable I got, at first glance I feared they sent the wrong cable, as at the time I ordered this one, I also ordered a Powerline+ Micro USB for my mums phone, at the time there was no powerline + that utilized USB C so I resorted to this, due to it looked dead on a powerline+ cable, bright red braided cable, it feels the same as the + so my guess it's made of the same materials and the durability will be incredible due to being constructed from Kevlar. The new cable is a million times better, it's heavier which is good, it speaks for the quality of materials, the connector is much more snug and secure, my only disappointment is I ordered a 3ft originally by mistake, instead of a 6ft. Due to Anker replacing the shotty cable with an outstanding one, that is more typical of their products I will be updating my review to 4 stars (If this is the cable they send out from now on, it IS 5 star quality, however due to the original issue I will hold back a star). I'd also like to add that Ankers customer support was great, they were very friendly and shipped the replacement within 24 hours of my reply, and I received it merely a few days later.
