    • A revolutionary cable with just one small fault

This cable is like no other cable I have ever owned. It is very thick (about 4.2mm or just under 3/16"), but is more flexible than any cable I have ever seen. It has a very "soft" feel with its silicone finish. There is virtually no cable memory; it will hang almost completely straight when dangled from one end. It is truly incredible to use! Now if you are not a cable nerd, you probably won't care at all about this next section and honestly, that is perfectly fine! This cable does what it says it does! The one small issue I have with this cable is that for being a 100W (5A) rated cable, the voltage drop is the highest I have seen to date out of all of the cables I own (11 different ones). In just a 3ft cable, I am seeing about a 330mV drop at around 9V 2A. For comparison, that is about as much voltage drop as I see in my cheap 10ft 60W rated cables. That ends up being about 2/3 of a watt lost just in the cable alone at a mere 18W (remember, this cable is rated for 100W). My other 100W (5A) 3ft cable drops only about half as much at about 160mV or ~1/3W. The (3) different 60W (3A) 3ft cables I have drop around 240-260mV or ~1/2W. I can only think this is down do either using thinner conductor wires or a different metal alloy than pure copper in order to increase flexibility at the expense of higher power loss in the cable. This is likely fine as the additional heat is easily handled by the silicone insulation and at the end of the day, we are talking about a loss that is still within the USB spec. Ultimately, I just did not expect this to be the worst conducting cable out of the 11 I own considering it is a premium, expensive cable. ... show more

The cable I received didn’t do the 100 watts advertised. It capped out at 60 watts. Unfortunately returned for a refund. ***Edit*** Anker reached out to me and sent me a new cable it works amazingly! This is why I love anker!

    • Charges—but Apparently Low Data Speeds… and Doesn't Work for Connecting External Display

The cable works for at least 60W worth of charging. However—and this is a huge caveat!—it can't be used to connect my MacBook Pro with my monitor via USB-C… So if you want a nicely soft cable for charging and charging alone, this will suffice. However, if you need it for anything more data intensive, don't waste your money! I honestly feel a little cheated, since this shortcoming should absolutely have been made clear in the product description—but the description is rather cagey in this department and avoids going into the data capabilities. It's absolutely crucial for data speed info to be included for USB-C cables in this day and age. Surprised and disappointed, Anker. tl;dr: If you just need a cable for fast charging, this will do. But if you intend to use the USB-C cable for data transfer, don't waste your money —> look elsewhere. ... show more

    • Doesn't charge, constantly disconnects with my S8

I bought this product to use with my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. I love Anker products, I've always sworn by Anker chargers, used to buy Anker batteries for my old Galaxy phones when they could be replaced. Something's off about this cable, I'm not sure if my phone is too old or what is the issue but the charging cable won't stay snug in the phone. Constantly disconnects, I have to get it in the perfect position to charge and if I accidentally touch it, it will disconnect and stop charging. There's no reason for this, and therefore this product doesn't work for my Galaxy S8. I threw away the box so returning the item was out of the picture. ... show more

    • Absolutely the highest quality USB-C charging cable I have ever seen!

This is without a doubt the best USB-C to USB-C charging cable I have ever seen. It has a very pleasant feeling rubberized coating which is very thick. It is also the thickest such cable I have ever purchased. Interestingly, it also doesn’t have much “coil memory”. By that I mean that right out of the box where it had been coiled up for some time, the cord immediately hung almost straight down when I pulled it out. Most cords will have some retained coiling when they have been rolled up for a while, but not this one. I do not like USB cables with the woven covering, and this one absolutely does not have that. Never thought I'd be raving about something as simple as a cable. It's a nice flexible cable, has a premium, soft feel to it. Doesn't kink at all, and looks great. Ends of cable fit in snugly. I've been playing around with the cable for the past few minutes because it's just that cool. Never seen any cable like this. It's like going from a really stiff dollar store cable to a nice braided one. Currently using it to charge my laptop/phone while I'm outside. However, even though it feels nice, looks can be deceiving. I'll update this review if it breaks or if I encounter some other issue. UPDATE: 10/6/2021:Still as good as when I bought it. ... show more

I bought two Anker cables 2 months ago and do love them. However one of the 2 had stopped working completly.. It's not a port problem. It's a cable problem like a short or blown circuit. I've reached out to Anker and am hoping they will take care of this for me... I will update this review after seeing what Ankers solution may be. *Update* Anker promptly and without discussion offered to replace or refund the defective cord. The choice left to me.
