  • Cable lasted 3 months under light use, but replacement cable came quickly
Size: 3ft Color: Black
This cable was used in my vehicle on road trips, and was not subjected to a large amount of bending or stress. After about 2 months of use, I noticed metal had flaked off three pins on one side of the lightning connector (shown in the attached photo), leaving only the opposite side operational. A month later, the cable stopped working altogether without any obvious sign of wear to explain why. I went through the "hassle-free" warranty to see about getting a replacement cable. I had to provide some information about my order and the serial number located on the cable to start the process. Afterward Anker emailed me with a request for additional information. Upon concluding my cable was defective (duh), they sent a replacement cable within a few days. In short, this cable isn't the best cable in the world, and if you need a replacement the process isn't as hassle-free as pressing a button, but if you can ignore the hyped-up marketing, I think this is a solid cable. ... show more

  • Don't get the black cable
Size: 3ft Color: Black
The wire works well for about 4 months but starts to show wear. I'd recommend you get the braided ones as they are better in quality. Mine ripped and causes it to malfunction. When I tried to apply for the lifetime warranty, I had to find the serial number. Unfortunately, since my cable was black and the serial number was stupidly also in black, it was basically invisible. So unless you have super eyes and a good flashlight, get another color. I had to try very hard to make out the tiny numbers. ... show more

  • My years of Anker experience
Size: 3ft Color: Black
Don't know if I have mentioned this to you but I have been a firm believer for years that - RICE IS RICE, AND SALT IS SALT. But pretty much everything else in life, you get what you pay for! Example BMW & KIA both do the same thing. Bose & KOSS both make a speaker. In my world of vast auto knowledge, I have based quality on what I call Honda standards. I own the Honda of rain suits, it's called MARMOT. I own the Honda of sofa's called Lazy Boy. I own the Honda of most everything Anker makes. I can go on and on with my Honda standards. The reason Anker should be proud of the above is because the only other company I have more products than Anker, is Honda. And I gotta be honest, should Anker and Honda have the same item side by side? I am older and wiser, between the 2, I would pick the one that looked cooler, because I trust them both! Your entire team should be beyond proud of your awesome company. Based on everything above, I need to mention 2 very important things. I am only going to mention one example (of dozens), as to why I decided, after the second product I bought from them, I would go out of my way to START at Anker when I am shopping online for every product they made. I lost their first zapper/quick charge about a month after I bought it. I found it 10 months later, and it was still fully charged. It fell behind a dresser. I am still using it. It, like my other Honda products, still work, and look like new. The second thing is that I am going to copy this and paste from the word don't to the link you sent. This is the only review I have ever done, should it not be review proper, that's how come. Based on every product they make and my years of experience with them all, I recommend that people simply do the same as I, start the search at Anker when they shop for everything related to electric at the BEN N JERRY'S or ROLLS ROYCE level, but Honda price. I hope and pray you all have the best weekend ever. Sincerely, Dan Harmon ... show more

  • Yes, Anker cables are well worth the price!
Size: 3ft Color: Black
I used to think lightning cables were just wires. Right? Just a wire, a connector and some plastic. Right? No need to over think this one or to over pay. Just buy a cable. While I bought some Anker cables, I would also look for inexpensive cables online and at discount stores. Rather than carry cables around, I like to have cables where I use them. I have cables everywhere—home, work, upstairs, downstairs, the kid’s rooms, the car. With so many cables, it seemed as though I was always replacing a broken one. It was frustrating. Go to charge the phone and the cord doesn’t work. Go to plug the phone in the car to use the GPS or play some tunes–nothing! Annoying! One day I noticed some cords never seemed to need replacing, they just worked. You guessed it, they were the Anker cables. I realized with cables, like many other things, you get what you pay for. After that I started replacing my broken cables with Anker cables. Now, when I plug my phone in, the cable just works. So yes, Anker cables are worth the price! They are money well spent. Your Anker cable will serve you long after the price is forgotten. ... show more

  • Finally, a lifetime warranty
Size: 3ft Color: Black
Anker cables are my favorite full spec cables, and while I understand why they would avoid reversible plugs, it always bothered me that they didn't offer lifetime warranties on such sturdy cables. My previous lightning cable did eventually get a hole right in the middle, but it's been so long that I can't find any record of the purchase to even try and get it replaced under warranty. The serial number has worn off the cable, and I couldn't find the right box in my pile of Anker boxes. It was my favorite cable, however, and when I saw that they had released a version even stronger, it was the clear choice. It's barely heavier or thicker, but feels tougher somehow. Although that could be because I had obviously worn enough of my old cable off to see the wires inside. I'm considering getting another one, although I've recently been more drawn to reversible cables, and even micro USB cables with lightning adapters. If I catch Anker making one of those, I'm jumping on it immediately ... show more
