I travel for business and have been carrying an Anker 20000mAh Powercore for a few years now. Recently on a layover in ORD I noticed a younger traveler seated nearby using one of these and chatted them up. After that brief convo and seeing how well it worked for someone in a similar situation as mine, I ordered one and have been using it for about nine months. This thing is fantastic. Not only is it half the size of my older Powerbank, but it also has a plug in charger built in so that's one less item to worry about and risk leaving behind at the hotel. Paired with the hardshell clamcase you probably saw advertised above this review it is the perfect travel kit. With the USB-A and C ports I can charge my Apple Watch and iPhone or iPad at the same time off the battery if no plugs are nearby, or while the unit is plugged in normally. The internal 10000mAh battery is enough to keep my iPhone 14 and Apple Watch going for a couple days, but charging my iPad Pro will drain it in one go which isn't shocking. I normally keep the battery topped off by plugging it into the nightstand outlets at the average hotel while charging my other devices off of it. One thing to point out though is that while it will charge itself while charging another device, priority goes to that other device so internally is more of a trickle charge. If you are charging two devices a the same time all the power goes towards that with none to charge the internal battery, so be aware. Not a big deal if you're doing this overnight as once the bank senses both devices are charged it will then switch them to trickle and charge it's own battery, but if you have phone and iPad plugged in during an hour layover the internal battery is going to be where it was when you plugged it in at the start. My only complaint is I wish they'd update this to the newer 30w standard the Nano III's support, as that would allow for high speed charging on both ports at the same time, or at least trickle charging the internal battery while the other two were running at standard speed. I'd also love to see the older USB-A port dropped entirely for the sake of a second USB-C plug because honestly that standard is going away, and this thing is the only reason I even own a USB-A to Lightning cord at this point. It's not a deal breaker but is something I'd love to see if this thing gets a refresh in the future. ... show more

This is my first direct plug-in wall-wart/power pack combo, and I’ll never go without one again. It’s incredibly convenient and works great. I usually leave it plugged in when I’m not using it and bring it with me around the house to charge my phone. I use it to charge my iPhone, iPads, Ring batteries, Bluetooth speakers, you name it. It charges as fast as advertised for devices that can handle the current, and I’ve never had an issue with overcharging. The 10k mah claim appears to be accurate, and I’m able to fully charge a few things before it needs plugged back in. The battery life indicator accurately reflects how much power is left. I have always liked Anker products. This ine has a different charging light now . It us part of the on off button itself . Since this wasnt charged when I got it , it took awhile to see the charging lights . They are tiny white lights that circulate. So far its all goid .
