  • My experience with the Anker 533 Power Bank (no built in cord version)
Style: without cable (Black)
***UPDATE - replacement battery after 2 weeks*** Anker reached out shortly after my review and asked if they could offer a refund or replacement because I wasn't very happy with my original battery. I opted for a replacement because I really wanted a functioning batter with these features after all. After about a week I had a new charger in hand. The first thing I noticed was that the battery still was at 0% charge out of the box. It charged much faster for it's initial charge than the original battery I had. After letting it charge up I also noticed that the button worked properly and I could use the low power charge option as well. I'm happy to report that this feature works exactly like I have hoped and it's already been put to use a few times in the couple of weeks I've been using the batter charger. My phone is a Pixel 8 Pro and there is usually around 40% after charging my pixel from 20 something to 100. This leaves plenty of room to charge the ear buds I use the most a then some. The charging speed are what I expect for my phone and also for the batter bank. The display is really handy with devices that don't have their own display like earbud or flashlights. I'm super happy with the customer service and the battery now and will come back in a while to report on the long term usage of the battery. ***Original Review*** I will be writing this review over time. This is the first 24 hours: This power bank was an oddity for me. I've had other power banks from both Anker and other makers. This was the first time I ever received one where there was no charge at all on the brand new power bank. 0% is what I saw when I connected my USB C cable for the first time. It also didn't really live up to much of the specs at first either. The initial charge never went higher than 4.5w the entire 7.5 hours it was charging up for the first time. Another problem is that my power bank's button does not work. At first I thought this was because it had 0% charge, but after It was on the charger for 4 hours I wanted to see how much longer it would take. pressing the button makes an audible, but quiet click sound. Nothing would happen though. For me, the display only comes on when I disconnect / connect something that is giving or taking power. That's a huge bummer since two of the big selling points center around this button functioning properly. Aside from showing the LED status screen, pressing the button twice or holding it steady for 5 seconds is supposed to enable the trickle charge mode. I wanted to leverage that as many things like my smart watch and ear buds charge at much lower power levels that some batteries and even some chargers don't even work with. Major swing and a miss here. After the first full charge completed I was able to charge my Pixel 8 Pro quickly like the 45w charger I normally use with it. The phone only maxes out at 30w, and that it what I see on both the USB charger and the Anker 533 Power Bank. That's great and means that this is at least a step above all the other slower power banks I already own. Recharging the power bank was also much faster after the initial charge and drain of the batter. It didn't quick measure up to 30w charging for itself, but it was under 2 hours to go from 0% to 100% the 2nd time I charged it. All in all, it's a good battery, but because I can only use it as a "dumb" battery instead of the fully featured power bank that was described, I can't really give it more than 2 stars at the moment. I will update my review again in another 6 months unless something noteworthy comes up that I feel should be posted sooner than later. If I can figure out why Amazon doesn't like the video I took of the button not working, I'll upload that too. ... show more

  • Versatile and powerful
Style: without cable (Black)
Works great and is a great size for travel. I really like the full color information display that lights up when charging or you can press a button on the side to get the status. I can quickly charge up my USB devices several times on a charge. I actually bought this to operate my YDS-120 for long practice sessions. It’s small enough that I can Velcro it to the back of the instrument. With the help of finding the exact USB cable for my application here on Amazon, I have a nearly perfect and visually pleasing setup using a more reliable continuous power source for days at a time. I definitely recommend this. Small but a little thick. Fits in the palm of an adult hand. ... show more

  • Fast Charge for iPhone 15 Pro Max
Style: without cable (Black)
A few things I wanted to note about this battery: 1) Really good compact size. Easily fits in a pocket. Lightweight. A lot of power in a small size. 2) Good charging speeds via USB-C on the new iPhone 15 Pro Max. I attached a few screenshots with the clock and the charging percentage visible. In 30 minutes, my phone went from 11% to 61% - 50% charge. Solid result. Have not nested with USB-A port. 3) Charging the battery itself only sees to work on USB-C port 1. It will not charge from port 2 and if you try to plug in both USB-C ports for charging, that doesn’t work either. Not a complaint - just pointing that out. 4) Recharge time for the battery itself isn’t spectacular, but is acceptable. I plugged it into an Anker 45 watt wall brick and don’t recall how long it took, but it was north of 3 hours. Overall, highly recommend it for the price and for Anker’s good reputation. I’ll probably buy a couple more of them when they’re on sale. Regular price is $49 and I bought it when there was a $10 coupon, so I paid $39. 5 stars! ... show more

  • Perfect gift for yourself and others
Style: without cable (Black)
I bought one of these for my brother in law when he experienced a power outage and have since bought several more and just recently bought one for myself! It’s a little heavy but not too big to fit in my purse or backpack, it charges quickly and charges my device quickly and I get a good, lasting charge out of it. There are much more expensive options on the market so this is a great value for casual users who don’t need something high end and want something affordable instead. I recommend it as a gift for anyone, it’s the kind of thing that everyone could use these days and is great to have for travel especially. ... show more

  • Powers a ResMed AirMini for about 5.5 to 6 hours with higher pressure (13 cm H20).
Style: without cable (Black)
This is a great little power bank. While not as light or fast to charge devices or recharge as a nitecore NB10000 gen2/3, it is still great for camping/backpacking and at a considerably lower cost. The big plus for me is that unlike a nitecore power bank, it will power my ResMed AirMini CPAP when using a 20V PD USB-C Power Supply (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BV1J88GV?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_18). Unfortunately my pressure settings are high enough (13 cm H20) that I only get about 5.5 to 6.00 hours of runtime. If you are looking for a power bank to run an AIrMini and have lower pressure settings than I do, it's possible this may be enough to get you through one night. I am still on the lookout for a power bank that gets me 2-3 nights without weighing an obscene amount though. Most power banks I have tried won't power my CPAP at all using a 20v PD supply, or if they do, they are enormous and have a 12v cigarette light port and are unsuitable for ultralight camping/backpacking. The closest I have found so far is also an Anker power bank, the Anker 537 24,000. That provides enough power to run my CPAP for about 18 to 19 hours (2.5 nights) and does charge faster than this power bank, in case you are also looking. ... show more
