I reviewed this barrier fence last month, but just saw it never was published or disappeared, so I'm resubmitting it. You get a 5-pack of sturdy metal rustproof fencing pieces with long prongs that enable the part that goes into the ground to penetrate pretty deep - about 9-10 inches, and about 7 inches stay protruding out of the ground when pounded in all the way, but you can pound it in less deeply if you wanted a taller fence above ground. Personally, I wanted it in as deep as possible because I placed it at the base of my chicken run fencing to prevent predators from digging under the fence, and it works great for that. It also would work well to close the gap between the ground and a fence so that pets can't go under it and other animals can't get in, as well as use it around your garden edge to keep pets and other small animals out of your flower and veggie beds. You get gloves, cable ties, and even a very good quality set of small pliers, which I really like and never got before with other barrier fencing. The fencing is durable, easy to install, and great quality - I have no complaints!

Overall, this concept is great. The spines go beneath the earth, and the top rests against the fence. Sometimes there are spots that is less effective though. The concrete by the posts. Fence over gravel. Etc. Still, this is as good a solution as any. Be prepared with some wire cutters to clip as needed. And… I found that these would get pushed away from the fence a bit easier than I would prefer if the creature was coming from the off side. So, I wound up stapling the top to the fence pickets. Worked great!

This fencing was easy to set up. I’m using it to protect my hostas from the deer. I realized they had really munched them pretty far down and I was hoping the fencing would keep them from being demolished. It is doing the trick and those hostas have been growing back. They were also quick and easy to set up. I’m going to need some more of these to protect the rest of my hostas.

If placed fully into the ground, you have about 8" to 10" of vertical coverage. The fences attach to each other with little zip-ties. A pair of cutting pliers and a pair of cotton gloves are included. The pliers aren't super high quality but should work fine for the small zip-ties. The metal gauge seems pretty much standard for this sort of item. Same thing with the finish - it's not powder coat but should hold up for a few years before rusting.

These panels work very well to close the gap and prevent digging out. A gap under the fence is just an invitation for my dogs to start digging to see what is on the other side. I am purchasing a home where there are gaps under part of the privacy fence. I will install these before I ever bring them over so there will never even be an attempt to dig. Also helps prevent other critter from digging in.

This is a short garden fence sufficient to keep a lazy, short dog out of the garden, but realistically just provides a pretty border. When put together, this is about 5 1/2 feet long and about 9-12 inches tall depending on how deep they are poked into the ground. They connect via little zip ties. A nice feature of this kit is the nippers to cut off the ends of the zip ties so they don't look ugly. Overall, it is a good little fence at about $3.14 a foot at the time of this review.

This fence comes with extras that I'm not sure why they include.. white gloves, small cutters, zip-ties. I reckon the zip ties can be used to hold the sections more securely together. The clippers can be used to clip the zip-tie tails for a neater installation. I'm baffled by the gloves though. I tried them on and wow, they make my hands happy. They are like Temple Grandin hand hugs! As for the no dig.. well.. I reckon any animals that would dig under would just hop over. These are not super tall or anything, so it would have to be a tiny un-jumping critter. I plan to use them to train a vine away from some other plants. Lots of use cases here.

I was surprised to see cotton gloves when I first opened the box. Made me wonder why? So we don't knick our hands installing the fencing? Seemed wasteful to me. If your soil is rocky, don’t bother with this fencing. These seemed like they would be a good way to keep rabbits from burrowing under the fence and into the yard. Unfortunately when they encounter the first rock, the tines just bend over. Out of five sections, only one could be installed more than about an inch deep. None of them could be installed all the way to ground level. These might make a nice decorative border around a garden box if the soil is not rocky. I’m not sure they would keep any animals out though.
