These are excellent as a border for my ground plantings. They are powder coated steel to prevent rust and easy to install. Just pound into the ground with a soft hammer / rubber mallet to avoid damage or bending. The plastic clips that are used to join the sections fit snugly and allow you to shape the fence to your plot. We spent some time planting new bushes in the grass strip between our sidewalk and the street. We noticed it immediately attracted dog walkers dog’s to lift a leg on them! My first attempt at preventing this action was to place some admittedly flimsy wire fence that is similar in design the this barrier. It didn’t stand up to the slightest contact. Installing this fence solved all our problems. The no-dig barrier fence is easy to install and much sturdier than the previous attempt. I ordered it for my mini dachshund in the dog run area to keep her out of the ivy where my wild rats live. I've been feeding a rat family for years, and we have an understanding that they will not bother us as long as we don't bother them. But my girl has not been following the rules, so I needed a short fence to block her from getting into the ivy because I'm tired of standing out there and watching her go to ensure she doesn't bother them as I don't anyone bitten or sick. This is 11 ft and you just put them in the ground next to each other. They block my dog, but they won't block the rats. However, the rats are not dumb and refused to come out into the dog area. We've had a groundhog problem with the critters digging under the under our sunroom. The critters kept moving the rocks and bricks we piled up. This summer we starting putting in animal barrier panels around the bottom of the sunroom skirting along with some chicken wire buried in front. We decided to try these upgraded panels when we ran out of the others we had. The prongs on these are definitely bit thicker and less prone to bending or breaking when pushing into the soil. They are easier to line up and attach together using the clips. They hold the individual panels together more securely than ones that just line up and hook in a hole, especially when pounding in the panels. ... show more
