Does it loosen up food splatter so you can wipe it away? Yes it does. Does it loosen up ALL food splatter so you can wipe it away? No, but it does get most of it - I'd estimate 75%. There are still going to be spots you've got to scrub - but I think probably not as hard as you would if you didn't treat with this first. Worth the money? Yes.
