I liked the thickness of the material it was made of. Looks like faux leather. The metal trim is a nice Shiney grayish (granite?) color. Very pretty. I did not notice any unpleasant odor at all when I opened the bag. I would prob like if there was some kind of cardboard or stiffening on the bottom so the bag would have just a little more support, but the last several bags I've bought did not have that either. By the time I filled it with all the things I carry around daily, it seemed sturdy and it did not feel floppy at all. The handles attached are a great length. What I thought might be lame glitz only turns out to be a surprisingly sturdy glitzy bag! Well-constructed with multiple pockets inside and out, all well secured with magnet snaps or zippers. Exterior has a smooth leathery but shiny silver surface. I needed a bag to take to several spring functions that will require me to take an extra pair of flat-heeled shoes with me for quick changes, considering the large parking lot and amphitheater walking. I am wearing shiny silver accents so chose this bag thinking it would be taking up space in the closet by summer. Not so, this will be a mainstay travel bag for me, and I think it will look good for years.

I dislike that it had a middle zipper part. I disliked that the zippers seem to come undone sort of easily and stuff may fall out easier. I really like the color and the variety of colors that you can pick I like all the pockets I like the size and I like the quality

The color is a little brighter than the photo, a very fun color for spring/summer. Lots of compartments to keep you organized. The smaller side pockets have magnetic closure. You could probably pack for a weekend with thus bag. I like to carry a book with me, and often bring shareables to meetings, etc., so I like the roominess. Quality seems pretty good.

One easily fits my pouch and the other size I use for my wallet and things. Lots of pockets. The material is soft and nice to look at. The metal pieces are round and smooth. This is one of the best & sturdiest handbags I have ever owned. I lead a very hectic work/life-style & am very hard on handbags and the straps usually end up unraveling & showing a lot of wear & tear (even the luxury brands).
