I did not like the way it came with the nipple attached. I assumed that it was part of the item I should use. After wasting too much time trying to attach it to my hose, I realized the nipple was not needed and then I easily attached the muff to my motor. I turned on the water and motor and was relieved to see water coming out the side of the motor (pissing), which is why I purchased this item. It was a much firmer fit than my old muff .
