This is worth every dollar!!!! Works excellent on copper, I haven't had the chance to use it on PEX. This press has great clamping pressure, not really heavy, you could easily do a new house job in a day. Easy to change.

    • It Could Be Great - If they provided any real documentation with the tool
This is an impressive tool! But it very badly needs user and maintenance manuals. What you get is a small leaflet that doesn’t explain how to: 1) Use the tool or set it up or use the features and controls, properly. 2) Maintain the tool. -You get some o-rings and grease. -Their use? Lubrication points?—-Unknown. Alongside this, the tool needs a parts diagram. My unit is a bit different than that shown/described, but I am hopeful it won’t fail in the first usage. I‘ve been maintaining and repairing things for a very long time, so I can figure out everything I need to, but until they remedy the documentation and provide some videos for the tool to have the widespread appeal that it should have. The tool’s pretty heavy, also, and despite labeling and the claims, I am able to rotate the head only about 45 degrees, -not 180 as stated, though that may be because I, you guessed it, don’t have the documentation one would normally receive with such a tool, at any price point, Other than that, I’m pleased with it, assuming that it will do the job. ... show more

    • First time using this inexpensive pro press
Spent a lot of years doing air-conditioning heating and a whole bunch of plumbing. I know how to solder a used shark shark bites. I bought this pro press, knowing that I wanted to re-pipe a bunch of stuff in my house this summer and I just kinda like the way it looks. So I had an emergency happen to have the fittings so I gave it a try. I unpacked it. It is a heavy little guy, it does have a product manual and a one-year warranty. I read some post where it said it didn’t have a book but it does. So once I got the understand of it, I cleaned the pipes. Got them ready marked them and I’m really happy how it turned out. Did it make a weird sound on a couple like a high pinging noise. But some research showed me that’s normal when it gets to pressure. So is the video show? No leaks. Looks OK I’m happy with it. I recommend it to any DIYer. I don’t know if it’s a professional grade or not because I don’t know what that’s like. But well worth the money. Does kind of have an inexpensive clamping system to hold the dies in place. One of them actually popped off and I had to go to the hardware store to find a push on clamp to hold it back in. It works well it’s a little bigger in size than my Milwaukee a lot better in price for homeowners and small plumbing jobs. Definitely a game changer.

Made short work of my project, consistent results with the joints and I didn’t need to test the limits of my endurance trying to pump a hydraulic press. Yes it’s more expensive than those but it’s worth it.

Does the job, and does it well. Comes with extra dies for PEX as a bonus. Did about 50 propreess 3/4 fittings with zero leak. Not a small tool, but claimed 80kn crimping force, if true is 2.5 times of Milwaukee force logic m18.
