I have had this style of project planner in the past and have use it for a variety of projects. Everything from planning get togethers to holiday gift giving. I had missed this using this planner until finding them recently on Amazon. When I saw them, there was no question as to whether to order them or not. I just did it. I am using one from the 3 pack I ordered for my day to day projects, notes and grocery shopping. I’m using one for larger projects, most recently Christmas shopping, dinner and out other holiday activities. The third one, I am using for my new hobby, quilting. The way the pages are laid out gives me the lined side on the right for detailed notes, lists and ideas. The panel on the left side of the page is just great for recording important details that come up while working on the part of the project that is detailed on the right side. On my Christmas shopping pages, it allowed me to record prices of the gifts in the left panel while the list of ideas was on the right lined side so I could stay on budget easier. In my quilting book, the right lined side had a list of pieces with sizes and fabric choices and the left panel got helpful hints and things to remember to make it easier to assemble the blocks I was working on so I could prevent making errors.

Great notebook. I’ve bought dozens over the years. The pages do stick together lately & that’s a pain. But if you’ll flip to the back of a stuck-together section of pages, you can peel off the individual pages without tearing them up. Not the best answer but it works.

I love that they come in a pack of 3. I buy them every year for work. Great to keep handy for writing meeting notes, ideas and to do lists. Love that there's a column where I can go back and info as needed. Paper quality is good and the spiral hooks up well.

These notebooks are great for note taking because you can write on the side margins for your quick reference take aways. To reflect and to grasp what you are learning. And a place to date and to title the writing and such. I do wish you could buy a bigger size notebook. Be careful pages do stick together near the ring that keeps paper together. At first I got frustrated I would tear my notes off the ring turning to the next page but I finally figured out how to get it unstuck without ripping the page out. If you are turning the page after writing on the front part grab 3 or 4 pages before it and pull slightly. Then after you write on the next page grab 3 to 4 pages behind it and pull slightly again. This doesn’t happen all the time when you turn from page to page but it happens enough that it can be frustrating. As to why I gave these notebooks 4 stars. They generally come in 3 different colors but sometimes I have gotten 2 of the same color. I usually keep the front cardboard description cover because I can at least write what the subject or book I use that notebook for on the white part of it. Maybe they can in the future provide a lighter area on the cover so we can know what notebook is for what without grabbing the wrong notebook. All in all I’m still pleased with them.

I have used these project notepads for years. The lined area to the right is great for notes. The blank area to the left great for task completion or identification. I use these notepads for general purpose as well as project specific needs. They last much longer than you would imagine, so the added features are well worth the increased price over a generic notepad. ** For the left handed people -- flip all the pages to the front and begin on the last page. The pages are printed such that both sides provide the same layout and by flipping it back to front, the binding rings will be on the right out of the way of your left hand.

I worked for a company that used these and fell in love. I no longer work for the company but will continue to buy these even though they're pricey. They keep me organzied with a few pockets, perfectly spaced lines for notes, and my favorite part is the left side where you can add addtional notes.
