We ordered two Ameriwood Home Franklin Accent Tables in grey that arrived in two boxes unharmed. Kudos to all the people who handled them including the driver/delivery person who placed them at our front door. There are LOTS of separate assembly pieces neatly packaged along with instructions. My husband who is very handy put them together, but he would advise all to read the instructions as you go. A previous review suggested using glue as an extra adhesive step, so we bought Gorilla wood glue, clear drying. The first one took hubby 1 hour, second one 45 minutes. We needed to wipe them all around with a damp rag. No specific odor, just maybe new wood smell. For the price they are fine and look well make (heavy too) and luckily ours did not have any scratches or missing paint. However, they do not have a lacquered finish on top, just matte paint, so we put felt on the bottom of our lamps and use a coaster for drinks/glass of water, etc. I would highly recommend these nightstands. ... show more

Great addition to my peacock themed bedroom. Challenge: hardware is wrapped very tight and closed with a lot of tape THEN vacuum packed. This nightstand was as expected and I recommend it. I needed something tall, yet small. This is a nice table, good size. The color is a light butter or cream. Not white. The knobs were shiny silver. I replaced them with antique brass. That really upgraded the look of the tables. I had to take off a star on this review though because putting it together was a nightmare. There were so many pieces! The instructions were clear and they gave plenty of screws and things. BUT... the screws were in a blister pack that had melted (seriously!) and was almost impossible to open. Even after opening it, that would only let out one screw so I had to fight. Probably half the time spent putting this table together was on opening the blister pack|! And, it has a lock nut system that's hard to figure out how to use. The nuts were so cheaply made that I broke more than one putting this together. Glad they gave extras. But, at this price, it's worth the purchase. Honestly, I'd pay more if it came already (or mostly) put together. ... show more

This is the perfect height for a taller bed! I put this together in about 2 hours. It would have been quicker but I didn’t realize the plastic nut had a bigger hole and a smaller hole. The screw has to go into the bigger hole first. I’d buy another one. It feels sturdy and looks nice.

Purchased two. They are definitely packed very well from the factory as the boxes were beat up badly and they did not sustain any damage which was quite a surprise. Relatively easy to assemble but the locking fasteners are fragile so be gently when assembling. Fit and finish is as good as it gets.
