I bought the gutter scoop to... you guessed it clean my gutters. It worked well, but I'm thinking of adding a few holes to it so water can drain out. It holds a lot of debris. It also worked to push the gutter gunk under the gutter spacers. It made cleaning the gutter easier. I just wish it had a few holes. I also used this to clean under the deck of my mower. It worked well. Since it's plastic it didn't scratch up the metal. Also the handle is long enough that I could tilt the mower with one hand and clean with the other. I had my son-in-law clean out my gutters after 10 years of neglect. Anyway, I purchased this to help him with the cleaning and it worked very well. My gutters were completely full of debris. Dirt, seeds, branches and leaves. 5 inches deep and this scooper really made the work go quicker. He filled my garbage bin 1/4 full (about 12 inches deep and 3 feet in diameter) of solid debris from the gutter and this scooper held up for the whole job. ... show more

You would be better off with a kitchen spatula and just flipping the leaves and pine needles out of you gutter than this waste of money. It is too cheap and almost too flexible at times. It actually seems to make a big mess . My neighbor watched me for about 45 minutes, then came over with a garage shop vac with 20 extra feet of hose and I had the gutter sucked out and cleaned as fast as I could move the ladder. No fuss, no clean up of crap around the whole perimeter of the home .....it was amazing I didn't think of it. Probably because I never thought of simply buying an extra 10 feet of hose or so for the vacuum!! ... show more

I was "up to here" with getting my hands dinged up (even with gloves) as I scooped out the gutters 3-4 times a year. This thing lets you scoop up a large amount and you can control where it goes rather than having to throw the wet leaves down on the ground. Yes, you can bring a bag up on the ladder with you, and if you do that, this will be even better. There isn't much more to say about it except that it's sturdy and fits nicely into the gutters. You can't get 100% of everything with it, but I couldn't do that with my gloved hands, either.     • Super cheap gets the job done fast!

This expedited cleaning the gutters by about 20 minutes also super cheap. Well worth the money. Also my gutters have nails lined along the inside and I would constantly rub my hand against them and cut them pretty bad. This saved me from that so I also dont have to cut my hands up anymore.

The actual product idea and construction are good. I want to like this more than I do. I think my biggest hesitancy has nothing to do with the product itself but in the problem its trying to solve. For me, I found that I had too many obstacles in the gutter to get it to work as intended. Small twigs, 90 degree bends, gutter nails/screws, overhanging shingles all kept me from truly being able to use the product to clean the gutter. Even with the gutter scoop, I still ended up just going in by hand and cleaning out large portions of the gutters. It was great on long stretches with minimal obstructions.
