LOVE THIS SET!! I used the 18” to stuff full of Disney clothes and toys for my 8 year old (he likes Minnie, too! & it was cheaper) with a note “signed” by Mickey Mouse surprising him on Christmas Day with a trip to Disney World (for our first time) 6 weeks later. It was the perfect size for him to roll on his own and between that and his backpack it was enough for a 6-day stay. Both suitcases worked flawlessly as carry-on’s and once as a checked bag returning on Southwest. Fast forward 3 months after our family trip and my husband and I couldn’t wait to go to Disney World again so we booked a “parents-only” getaway for 2 nights/3-days flying Spirit. I was trying to avoid paying for baggage so I was measuring bags/backpacks I had on hand when I realized the smaller suitcase in this set is an 18” UNDERSEATER!!! SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO FIT THE REQUIRED UNDER SEAT DIMENSIONS AS A PERSONAL ITEM FOR BUDGET AIRLINES. Hardsided underseater luggage by themselves average the cost of what I paid for this set together, so this revelation was so exciting!! Spirit did stop me to make me put the bag in their sizing bin but NO ISSUES! Not only does it fit their standards (as well as Frontier, etc.) but it does so with room to spare! I bought vacuum tight space saving bags and was able to pack everything I needed for our 3 day trip plus a foldable pack pack to hold souvenirs on the way home and just checked the 18” luggage on the return flight home which held up amazing, again. PROS/CONS: NEUTRAL/PRO: The carry-on size is a 360 degree spin while the 18” underseater is a single direction roll (like a handcart). Many reviews complain that the underseater isn’t a 360 spin too but knowing it is an underseater is key because the 2-wheel only design allows it to stay small enough to meet the 18x14x8 dimensions without taking away from the interior capacity. Underseaters with the 4-wheel designs hold significantly less inside vs their 2-wheel competitors, so this trade off is well worth losing those additional 2 wheels and the swivel feature. CON #1: The handles are obviously telescopic design and therefore when fully extended are going to lose some durability which was expected but considering American Touristers reputation and their cost, I did expect them to feel stronger. When using the swivel capabilities of the Carry-On, it can feel a little wobbly/bendy at times. That’s my only concern with these and considering the great deal I got when I bought them and the underseater capabilities of the 18”, it’s a really minuscule detail that doesn’t effect my overall 5-Star rating, at all. PRO #2: I discovered during my flight home with both pieces of luggage after a flight attendant pointed out that the 18” sits on top of the 22” perfectly and you can easily roll them stacked together with one hand. They don’t click or hook together or anything but as long as you’re careful they will stay stacked quite easily. This was super helpful not only exiting the plane but also when my 8 year old decided he was too tired on the return flight to roll the 18”, …kids, sheesh. PRO #3: I love that one side of both suitcases on the interior is a zippered compartment. Helps organize and squish in more stuff like a built in packing cube. I packed all of my Mickey ears in there and this kept them from getting squished/damaged by the rest of my items and clothing. I’ve really grown to appreciate this feature. PRO #4: ADORABLE Minnie print that’s super glossy and scuffs have wiped right off or are not noticeable at all. PRO #5: Hard exterior shell has proved to be super durable. CON #2: NONE!!

Love this Mickey luggage. It is not only cute and will have kids point happily exclaiming “Look, it’s a Mickey bag!” whenever they see it, but it is also easily recognizable in a sea of similar appearing bags at the airport luggage turnstile. Love that it opens in the middle, rather than some others that open at the 1/3 mark of the luggage and then tip over more easily. Also love the fact that it’s expandable. We have taken multiple trips to Europe with this Mickey bag, and have never had issues. Absolutely love this bag and highly recommend it. In fact, this is the second one that I’ve purchased, because I was so impressed with the other one after a few years of frequent use.

Being a lover of all things Disney, I knew I had to get this the moment I saw it! It is exquisitely made with special attention to detail. The graphics are sharp and I receive compliments everywhere I go. It is the perfect size for me to pack the necessities for most trips lasting up to about 5 days. I especially appreciate how easy it is to transport this suitcase. Trying to quickly navigate my way through a crowded and busy airport can be quite a challenge. Luckily the 4 wheels are very sturdy and roll freely while retractable handle makes it really easy to pull. When the handle isn’t needed, it retracts back into the bag and stores securely until it is needed again. This bag has been a wonderful addition to my travel essentials. The price point was very reasonable, and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend this bag and know that I will enjoy mine for many years to come.

You probably would not buy this suitcase if it wasn't so darn cute. Compared to my more standard suitcases, it is a bit thinner, a bit fewer interior features for storing stuff in compartments, and overall just not as sturdy. But. Nothing says 'woo hoo I am going on vacation' like this suitcase does. And the quality is sufficient to hold up to Airline handling. So yes, I rate it a 4 on quality, but I love it and would buy it again. I just enjoy using it so much.
