I was initially hesitant to make the purchase because it was priced a bit higher than some similar offerings, but it is well worth the price. The pieces sturdy and connect together snugly so that there is almost no visible seam. The pieces can be connected with just a bit of firm hand force; I had initially planned to use a rubber mallet, but found that it wasn't necessary. Some other buyers have mentioned a strong rubber aroma for a week or two after installing the product - I didn't find this to be the case. Sure, it smells like fresh rubber, but it certainly isn't overwhelming as some buyers have described (I assume they've never purchased a new rubber mat product before?), and the smell dissipates shortly after installation.

They look great, are nice and stiff, very easy to install but my lord the smell when they first arrive is brutal. I left these outside on my deck for a week. I let them get rained on and sunned out, flipping them twice a day. This strategy worked and I have them installed in my home gym now with no detectable order anymore.

These mats are no joke, they are exactly the same as walking on the ones at a real gym. Very expensive but worth every penny. No bad odors, in fact as weird as it sounds, they kind of smelled like a fruity chocolate. They stay in place and do not separate when walking around on them. If you buy these, this will be the last time you have to buy mats, these will last you a lifetime.

I was about to order a different floor mat set and I'm glad I held off and took the time to read a few Reddit threads and research home gym flooring. These are rated the highest for a reason. Granted they just arrived so I can't speak to longevity but my initial impressions after setting up is they're everything I hoped for. There's no give underneath, really dense. They don't slip around on my wood floors. The cuts fit perfectly with the 6' x 8' mat set I ordered. Honestly couldn't be happier. These were a bit more expense than I planned for but feel well worth it. And they arrived a lot faster than the initial expected shipping time which was a nice surprise! Highly recommend.

We've had these for several months now, and love them! We have a downstairs room that the previous owners likely used to lock-up their big dogs in when they had company over. The floor was just bare concrete, badly stained and with slightly oozing rust spots in a few places. We cleaned it up and use it as a storage room with shelves along the sides and bike storage along one wall. We considered several options for floor covering including pouring more concrete, but then stumbled on this rubber flooring. This brand is truly heavy duty, was easy to lay down...and if we ever have a serious moisture problem underneath, will be easy to disassemble with no damage to the tiles. It's a pleasure to walk on, buffers any dropped tools, etc. and while it had a slight rubber smell for the first several weeks, it was much less than we anticipated. Excellent product. The only negative aspect is that only 2x2 foot tiles are offered - which does not (obviously) fit every room. In our case we ordered the 8x12 kit but that was about a foot short on one side of the room. At the time (July 2019), adding individual tiles required relatively steep shipping charges (these tiles are heavy!!!), so eventhough we were willing to pay for extra end-tiles and cut half of them off, with shipping it just wasn't worth the extra money - we hid the uncompleted @10" behind the shelves. If they offered a 2x1 foot end/corner option, this system would be the best in rubber flooring.
