Description
The 2004 S Sacagawea Dollar PR64 is a Proof coin struck by the US San Francisco Mint and graded by American Alliance Coin Grading Service. A proof coin is made from highly polished planchets and dies. Proof coins are often struck twice to enhance the design. PR64 means the strike should be average or above with some marks or hairlines. The Sacagawea Golden Dollar was designed by Glenna Goodacre and Thomas D. Rogers Sr. The coin is composed of a pure copper core and with outer layers of manganese brass. The coin symbolizes liberty, peace and freedom as shown to Meriwether Lewis and William Clark by Sacagawea during their famed Westward Journey.
