Features

  • VULCANITE - All-around Trail tire
  • DESCRIPTION - The Vulcanite is a go-anywhere tire featuring tall knobs for traction in loose terrain with hatch marks and siping for additional traction in hard-packed conditions, and ramped central knobs for straight-line speed. And its semi-open tread block layout reduces debris build-up and increases bite on rocky terrain and roots.
  • STAGE TR ARMOR - Features a Trail-Rated construction and dual-compound tread formulated for efficient climbing, predictable cornering, and long days on singletrack.
  • TUBELESS READY - The ultimate construction delivers a combination of speed, comfort and flat protection when combined with tubeless specific sealants.
  • WIDTHS American Classics mountain bike tire widths meet current global standards set by E.T.R.T.O. following their designated design size rim widths. 2.25in (57mm) tires are designed for rims with 25mm internal widths while 2.4in (61mm) and 2.5in (64mm) tires are designed for 30mm internal width rims. The use of narrower or wider rims will change the overall width of the tire.

Absolutely loving this tire!! Currently on the rear and have another brand up front but bought another one so I can run them front and rear. Awesome grip even on some damp rooty climbs!! Definitely my new tire brand!

  • Very hard to mount, but good quality
The media could not be loaded. I have not ridden these, but I can tell they are good quality. They are very thick and stiff. If nothing else, they look very nice. I bought the Enduro and the Trail version, one of each, and they were identical. $2 difference though. Just get the cheaper one. Very hard to mount to the rim. Pro tip: spray slightly soapy water on the edges and get two heavy duty plastic tire tools. Something with a sharp end that won't bend. I used regular tire tools and they bent and broke. Having a helping hand feels like a must. ... show more

  • GRIPPY
Husband speaking. Ride in Phoenix AZ. I have not ridden on a lot of tires, but these are what I have been on Bontrager XR4, Maxxis DHR2(ran it forwards and backwards), Schwalbe Hans Dampf, and a few others I have have forgot about. Pro's This tire has more climbing traction in Loose over hardpack and rocks then any other tire I have ever used. It has so much traction that when I loose momentum in first gear I can put all my weight on the pedals and it still keeps gripping. After buying this tire I installed a 26 tooth chainring on my bike. Today I went over the back as all the extra torque from the chainring and a tire that won't let go.... something had to give. Con's I read this tire is hard to mount.... OMG!!! I have a Schrader valve converter (not the little adapters) and with the Schrader core removed and using a full size compressor it took me 20 minutes to get the bead to seat. Once it did seat I honestly thought it would be good thing and keep the tire from burping. Nope, it still burps as much as my old tire. It does wiggle a little in flat turns, but not bad. It also like to slip off the sides of rocks like the sidewall is folding more then my Hans Dampf, but not as bad as the Maxxis did. I give this 5 stars all day and for me it is the best tire I have ever used... and it cost half as much as any other tire. When my Assegai wears out I will be ordering a Tectonite for the front. ... show more

  • Look Solid (for now)
They look like some really solid tires. They’re taller and wider than most 29" tires which is good for better dampening. My only concern is the knobs on the tire seem to be made of a very sticky, gummy rubber. Its so gummy that you can actually tear pieces off with your finger nails! Imma gonna take it through its paces for a few weeks to see how it holds up to various terrains. I’m hoping it lasts ... show more

  • Couldnt get it to seat on my rim.
Thought i would try these cheap amazon tires on my ebike. Could not get the tire to seat on my roval carbon rim. I have mounted 100's of tubless mountain bike and motorcycle tires. never had an issue like this. Even using my high cfm air compressor couldnt get the tire on. Tried with and without inserts. Bought 4 months ago and never tried to install it until today. so out of the 30 day return period. based on the good reviews im sure they are working for some people. but my brand new tire is going in the garbage now after spending an hour blasting air into it. ... show more

  • Works as it should .
a little hard to mount because of distortion from being folded in package .

  • Well made
Switching from 27.5*2.1, fits nicely, can't wait to get out on a mud trail. Update 10/01: on a forest trail dirt/gravel i had enough grip to turn comfortably at higher speeds. Big upgrade over my previous tires
