These fit as expected if you read the other reviews and follow their size chart. Unlike standard hockey skates, you DO NOT size down, but rather size up one from your normal shoe size. I bought these specifically for the laces/Velcro at the ankle combo. It makes for a very secure fit. Others stated these arrived pre-sharpened. Mine, however, not certainly did not. This was a $5 fix at my local rink, but for the inaccuracy in product description I dock 1 Star (I’d only knock off a half star if that were an option because these are otherwise stellar.) Not impressed! We gonna keep them because we already use them... but they look very big even though they're not if it comes to size... don't look impressive... got to admit that they are pretty light... the most important thing is that they're not very sharp so now we have to spend money to sharpen them...not cool... my son's ice skates after couple seasons are sharper than these ones... looking cool at the picture but that's about it... ... show more

The actual skate is really nice! However, I got a size too big. I’m a size 8.5 and I ordered a size 10. Everyone said to go one size up, or it will be too small, so I didn’t only want to go up half a size. I’m returning them so I can get different skates. They are a little bulky tho, and did NOT come in the right color. Not as cute as the picture :( I was v disappointed lol. But why did I rate 5 stars if I was disappointed? Lol. I’m rating 5 stars because the actual skates themselves are VERY VERY VERY COMFY!!! If you get them the right size, and you are worried about your feet hurting while skating, by all means get these skates!! Just because they didn’t fit based on the reviews I read and the color was wrong doesn’t mean the skates themselves are bad! It’s a little bit of false advertising on the color, cuz that’s why I initially chose these skates. ... show more

The boot is very comfortable and well made. Just slightly too big (I ordered a half size up per reviews of the boot running too small) I feel like I should have ordered my normal boot size. Nonetheless, they get the job done. Also, they are a bit hard to tie tightly so there's some lack of stability in the ankle. I have to admit I have not used these to actually skate yet but I am pleased with my purchase. BUY A SIZE UP! For sure. I am always a size 8 medium. Always. I ordered a size 9 and they're perfect. love my new skates! i'm new to skating, and my kids love it, so i decided to join them and skate too. i hadn't skated since i was in high school and that was only a few times since it hurt my legs so much. Great Hockey Skates! I read the reviews on a lot of skates, including reviews on these skates before purchasing them. I love these skates! I did have to exchange them for a larger size, so I could wear an extra pair of socks in them. If you are looking for a skate that has a little bit more room for feet that are a little wide, these are great.
