Tried this after watching a YouTube video that showed how well this lubricant “clings” Even at the 0W20 weight my 2014 Subaru outback requires. I was using Mobil 1 and would add 1/2 to 3/4 every 5k miles of driving. After switching to this about three oil changes back, I noticed that I haven’t added ANY and it’s still filled up right between the two dots on the dipstick. I know why the auto manufacturers are going to the lightweight oils (mpg and cold weather start up protection) but I think the lighter weights does make some oil get past the pistons and valves and can shorten the life of catalytic converters (had mine replaced right around 100k. For being an Amazon basic, this oil is top-notch. It always scores well in independent studies. I have used it for all sorts of machinery and vehicles. So far, no complaints at all. 5w30 is so much better for most items.

Used this in several weights iver the years. Seems to work well. I dont keep oil in any engine for more than 5-6k miles. Always looks clean and semi translucent when drained.

It's cheap, and it works fine. Not sure about the quality over time. Drove 4000 miles (1000 miles with the engine on) over 6 months of break in with a new hybrid, and changed the oil. It was dark.

I use this in my 2019 Nissan Sentra because project farm found that it was about the same as mobile one, I’ve been very happy with it and had no issues. I do the standard oil change every 5k miles and use a wix xp oil filter with it. I’ve gone from 0-45k miles so far and I’m confident I’ll get tons more without the oil ever causing issues. ... show more
