This coffee table is absolutely awful and should not have passed any kind of quality control. To start, the package was missing hardware, which forced me to make an extra trip to the hardware store just to continue assembly. I had to purchase wooden dowels out of pocket just to make this product usable. While the table arrived with scratches (which I might have been able to live with), the problems go far beyond cosmetic issues. The predrilled holes were not in the correct locations, and some were missing altogether, making proper assembly impossible without drilling new holes myself. I should never have to modify a brand new piece of furniture just to put it together. On top of that, the lamination on the table is literally sliding it feels like a cheap sticker wrapped around the piece, not a properly finished surface. This alone makes the table feel flimsy and poorly manufactured. Additionally, the lift top does not sit flush when closed, which defeats the purpose of the design and makes the table look uneven and poorly made. To make matters worse, nearly every step in the instructions is incorrect, causing confusion and wasting a significant amount of time. Assembly was far more difficult than it should have been due to inaccurate directions and manufacturing errors. This product is poorly made, poorly designed, and incomplete out of the box. Given the missing parts, incorrect and missing drilling, sliding laminate, flawed functionality, and damaged finish, I am extremely dissatisfied and expect a refund. I would not recommend this coffee table to anyone
