I placed this 43-inch Amazon Ember Fire TV in my living room, and it has exceeded my expectations. Setting it up out of the box took less than 10 minutes—the on-screen instructions are very straightforward, and it connected to my Wi-Fi immediately.My favorite feature is how well it handles Xbox Cloud Gaming. I don't even need a console hooked up; I just paired my controller and started playing directly from the living room couch. The input lag is minimal, and the colors look incredibly rich and vibrant during gameplay. The picture quality is sharp and fills the room nicely, making it an excellent, budget-friendly display for casual gaming and streaming. Highly recommend!

We really love this TV. The TV alone in our opinion should get a 5 stars. The warranty expires next month, and the remote just died partially. We did all the trouble shooting fixes, but nothing worked. We tried to get a replacement under the warranty. Here is the kicker, for Amazon to replace just the defective remote, they want us to ship them back the whole darn TV! All just to replace a defective remote that is partially working! That is the only reason I have given this 1 star! I love sharing the positive, but this time, sadly, Amazon has really dropped the ball completely. The only way I can get a new remote without buying it outright is for my husband and myself to take the TV into UPS (heck, we are in our 70's with healh issues) I assume, and they will ship the whole thing back, just so I can get a remote that they are now selling for $24.99. The shipping costs alone would make it more cost effective for Amazon just to send the remote. I can't help but wonder about the extra expense that they create for themselves if it is passed along to the consumer, somehow? At present, we cannot afford it, we just ordered an $800.00 computer from Amazon for my husband. So, I did something I have never done before, I asked Amazon for a credit for $24.99 without going further in debt. and get a working remote I felt so uncomfortable making such a request. They all of a sudden could not do credits, which they have done before, or returns or, even on this rare occasions why they messed things up fairly bad. Now that has not happened over the last 30+ years I have been an Amazon customer. The TV itself, though, is quite impressive in picture, sound, interface, and ease of use. Amazon's policy is horrible. I guess this did work out for better Amazon, being cost effective; they don't honor their warranty and save a few dollars, whatever their cost is for that remote, so less than $24.99, and then later, I will have to purchase a new remote. Which we will, Amazon's policy is what messes things up, that is the only reason there is 1 star instead of the intended 5. They are creative to not spend any money and ensure we buy another remote in the future. If this had a rating for Sneaky, I would give them 5 Stars. In over 30 plus years, this has been my worst unresolved experience at Amazon, and I am happy to say, we have had so few bad experiences with Amazon, and the phone staff, has always been quite helpful and pleasant. In closing, the woman I spoke to today was respectful, courteous, friendly. Revised on September 30, 2026: To my surprise, amazon contacted me a week ago, and now I new remote is on the way. I trust they might be reevaluating their warranty options. Amazon is still number 1 in our household.

This TV is great! It's very lightweight and easy to mount. I'm a 57-year-old woman and was able to install the wall mount and the TV up high in my bedroom by myself with a step ladder, a stud-finder, a drill, a socket wrench (for the lag bolts to attach the mount to the wall), and a long screwdriver. I got the USAX articulating mount for this setup because it has a full 12-degree downward tilt, which is great for watching from bed. The picture is fantastic, and the apps load quickly. The first thing I watched was Sleepless In Seattle on Netflix as I drifted happily off to sleep, lol! I will update this review after I have a chance to play with the sound and the extras, like the curated art screen saver and the motion sensor and the AI/Alexa interface. BUY IT NOW while it's on sale for early Amazon Prime Big Deals. You will not regret it! I paid $199 for the 43", but I believe you can get the 33" for about $129 right now. Seriously, get it now while you can!

I bought this TV to replace the original element Fire TV Edition TV I have had for years. This was supposed to have better quality picture but when I received it the picture was much worse. I tried for 2 days to adjust all the settings to get the picture to match my old TV with them sitting side by side. I could not get it as clear nor could I get the colors as rich no matter what I tried. I contacted support for help and they decided to send me another TV which I did the same thing with adjusting all the settings and while I could not get it quite as good as my old TV I was able to get it better than the original one they sent me so I decided to keep it in return the first one they sent me because this does have additional software features and I am not sure how much longer my old one was going to last though it was working fine. It also has much better sound quality than the element TV did. While I'm not thrilled with the purchase it is a pretty nice TV and I would have been thrilled with it if the TV I had been using previously had been poor quality so now I have two excellent TVs. Though it is called an ember TV there is nothing anywhere that refers to the name Ember. Everything in the software says Fire TV even when using an echo device it only turns off if I say turn off Fire TV even if I renamed it to the TV. Which is a bit annoying since my old TV I could just say turn off the TV and it would turn off, but this one won't even though I renamed the old TV to old TV and renamed the new one to the TV. The setup was difficult on the first TV I received having to manually set up most everything but the replacement TV they sent set up everything automatically for me so something was just not right with that first TV even though they were identical models the software menus were still different the settings button was in a different location as well as many other features and I checked the software version on both and it was exactly the same

For the price, this beats a lot for the picture quality. Bright is very high and at night it kind of sucks because it’s bright even when you lower the backlight. Super easy to set up and start using when it’s already linked to your account.

It’s only been an hour but so far so good. I like the picture quality and the size of the remote. I’ve had 2 Vizio tvs I bought from Amazon just stop working around the 1 and 2 year mark, literally just stopped turning on. TVs used to last 10-15 years. My fault for buying another one 🤦♀️ so hoping this amazon ember actually lasts a few years. I like that you can also control it from your phone. I’ll update around the 6 month and 1 year mark🤞

Only had it, 55" Amazon Amber Fire TV, for about a month and I would strongly recommend it. Although I had to get used to how Fire TV works, once I got used to it I really like it. I have an antenna for local channels and I didn't know whether it was equipped to do that, but to my surprise, it did. I strongly recommend it. Great value for the price and it works terrific. Only complaint, when you turn it off it seems to only go into sleep mode. Which kind of worries me from the efficiency and security point of view. But one can always unplug it. I guess.

I upgraded to this TV after my the backlight in my previous one( 43" insignia Brand FireTV) failed. The picture quality is great but we are having problems with the remote and Alexa voice commands. Specifically the volume control. We have to have the volume much higher on this TV to get the same level as the old TV, even when paired with a amazon soundbar. Update. After 3 months with this TV I have decided to replace it. As other reviews have stated teh TV will not always turn on via Alexa. She will state the TV hub is offline. If I push the Power button on bottom of TV the screen will turn on and then the unit will turn back off. The remote will not turn the TV off most of the time. When Telling Alexa to turn up the volume it will instead adjust the Alexa volume. this is with the sound bar Disconnected. When sound bar was connected via the ARC output the volume would only change in increments of 2 when it decided to work. Would highly recommend you avoid this item. I will not be buying any Amazon branded major electronics again.
