I got this tablet for my 2 year old so he has something to do during our road trips. It's nice tablet for a price and very durable lol Amazon devices without workarounds don't support google play store and it's apps. While Amazon selection seems plenty there is plenty of content that maybe will not work with your parenting and you will want to remove them. Once you start to cut out things you understand that there is not that much your kid can do and time to time will need to give your phone to your kid anyways. Especially when it comes to YouTube videos, you either need to let watch your kid Amazon approved YouTube videos or use their paid apps to have access to videos you want to show your kid.

I recently purchased the Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet for my 5-year-old daughter and I couldn't be happier with the purchase! The tablet is incredibly easy to set up and comes with a ton of features that have been a lifesaver for managing my child's screen time. The parental controls are fantastic, allowing me to set time limits and age filters so that my daughter only has access to age-appropriate content. I love that I can also set educational goals for her and track her progress through the tablet's dashboard. The tablet itself is incredibly durable and has held up really well to my daughter's rough and tumble play. The 16 GB of storage is plenty for all of her favorite apps, games, and books. The Blue color is also really fun and playful, making it a great choice for kids. Overall, I would highly recommend the Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet to any parent looking for a reliable and educational tablet for their young child. As the title says i highly recommend this tablet for any one with children from ages 1 and up especially at this price point .Its been over 2 months since owning it and its held up well and still operates fast as it was day one out of the box. Most importantly my child can easy navigate thought her favorite shows and games with limited to no help from me . Parents can monitor screen on time, apps installed and content view with parental controls which you should set up along side the tablet on first boot up

I got both of my children one of these and they love them. They are so easy to navigate and come with so many default apps. I love the fact that you're can control it from the tablet itself with the parent profile and that it came with a free year of Amazon kids. I can access both kids profiles from one tablet. They are very durable with their shock proof case and customer service is amazing. I messaged them with a problem and they immediately called me to walk me through how to fix it. Definitely recommend! So worth the money.

This is a very solid tablet. The build is nice, the protective case is exceptional for little ones, it feels good in your hands, it's lightweight, and it loads quickly. I bought 2, for our 5 & 1 year old. We have been using the Contixo tablets for years (starting with our 9 year old). They are similarly priced and built, but the Contixo tablets use Google/Android. I know, I know. :) I knew this didn't have Google, Google Play, or web access when I bought it. What I didn't realize was how important that was for us, OR everything else that losing that functionality meant. The downside to Contixo tablets is that they are sometimes slow & buggy. The Fire tablet is far more fast and smooth. But, alas, it just didn't meet OUR needs. The MAIN things for us were: 1. No YouTube Kids (my kids love YT Kids & use it regularly), 2. No FamilyLink parental controls mgr...or similar program (I'm accustomed to that specific interface. I pull up the FL app, it shows me the location of the item on Google Maps, I can ping the item if it is misplaced, I can set screen limits, I can control what sites they visit, I can see their history, I can set bedtime, I can immediately lock the item, and so much more. 3. No reliable way to ping the tablet or make it ring when lost/misplaced. Our house isn't huge, but it is spacious & has many nooks & crannies. My kids put things down in the darndest places. I need to be able to quickly log into an app on my phone, press "ring/find tablet" and hear the item (so I can find it, similar to my cell phone). We've been looking for 1 child's TV remote for 9 months and still haven't found it (lol). So, that functionality is a huge deal for us. I also missed the simple home screen on the Contixo tablets. I can setup exactly what apps I want them to see on the home screen (like a cell phone). The Fire tablet had too many different options, suggested apps, & icons on the screen. I didn't really see an option to hide those or customize that view. Again, the Fire tablet is beautiful, it just didn't suit our needs. It felt like an extension of my FireTV or Prime Video home screen from our TV. That is too busy for my kids' needs. They want to click & open every show they see (& some of them are not free). If you just need a portable way for your kids to watch programs/shows from Prime Video, this is golden. Otherwise, meh. 4. There also aren't any games. My kids love the little coloring, spelling, and word games (Google Play Store) on their Contixo tablets. Again, worth mentioning three times, I am still very, very surprised about not having a way to ring the item if it was lost. I couldn't even install Lookout or a similar program to help. This is a child's item. They misplace things. At this price point, that should be a no-brainer. So basically if they lose it or lay it down out of sight, you are S.O.L. until you come across it. I saw many moms complain about these same few issues. I'm sure Amz will fix it in the future. I'll repurchase then. Returned both for now.

This tablet is absolutely perfect for kids. Setup was so very easy and understanding. The screen quality is fantastic. No glitching. Slow downloading some content, but no problem playing anything! Beautiful, holds a charge, and the games and videos that come in the tablet are wonderful. I love that it allows to switch over to parent profile as well. Love.

Got this for babyโs first birthday not expecting much use, but hoping to distract him on an upcoming road-trip. HE LOVES IT. We donโt do a lot of screen time, but the read aloud feature, ability to watch coco at the doctor, and watching him learn the technology is well worth it! The case makes it near indestructible as well!

I donโt know how we traveled before purchasing these! They are so durable and also lightweight. There are tons of free apps my kiddos love and we have no issue with it being too slow at all. They donโt compare to an apple device as far as speed, but our toddlers donโt know anything different. My only complaint is that without any words at all to describe the apps, it can be really confusing to know what you are downloading. However, you figure it out fairly easily.
