This seems to be a trend in the Amazon Essentials tops I bought in my last order. AE brand always used to be loose on me, so I always order a size L. I wear a 38C bra and can fit an M (rarely) an L or an XL depending on the brand. I don't usually buy an XL in stretchy tops because I typically just need a bit of ease in the shoulders and chest and the stretch takes care of that. But this was uncomfortably close to my body all the way to my hips, which are proportionately small. Not clinging, and it is not Asian sizing, but if I had known, I would have sized up to an XL to get the loose fit shown in the product photo. The fabric is very thin and light, but not transparent, which is unsurprising, however, since I bought Charcoal Heather, which is a medium-to-dark grey shade. It is nice and long; it covers my crotch, which is my preference, and I am 5'11". Hope this helps! Bought it again in navy before I received the first one. Same issue. It is wearable in L, but I expected looser. Love the navy colour, though, and the length.

When I bought this shirt I wasn't pregnant, (typically wear mediums in shirts, for reference I'm 5'4" 135 lbs pre-pregnancy) and so it was a little on the big size. It wasn't too big to not wear just less fitted than I expected. But now I'm seven months pregnant and am so glad I have two of these shirts they are long to cover my large belly and around the house I wear them with leggings because they are also long in the back to cover my bum! They are super soft (which is why I didn't return them originally) and I've worn them weekly for over six months and they are holding up pretty well considering the cost. They have gotten some pills on them but like I said I wear them all the time. I also always hang knit shirts to air dry so I don't know how they hold up when you use the dryer to dry them or if they'd shrink in the dryer. But if you're looking for a cheap maternity tee that's super comfortable you might want to get one or two of these!

This is a very comfortable t-shirt. It is not clingy. It is very long. It's a nice stretchy material that wears well, washes easily and dries quickly. I'm 5'7, 140 lbs and the large is flirting with tunic length. That's ok as it makes it easy to tie a knot on the side, or half tuck it in. I recently went on a trip and packed badly. Half the things I thought I packed I left at home, so I was left with this t-shirt to wear several days in a row. It worked like a champ.
